Today I bought a cheeseburger from the Wendy’s in Mansfield, PA, and the meat was raw. This isn’t my first bad experience here. Two weeks ago my sweet tea tasted like beer, which I learned can be from bacterial contamination. A few months ago I received a burger with mold on the bun and have photos. Customer service has also been rude and unwelcoming. I’ve never had a good experience at this location, and I’m very concerned about the ongoing food safety and service issues.

We came with 20 minutes left in the dining room. We were allowed to order our food and stay a little after the doors were locked. The staff were very nice to my group and we were very appreciative of them.

Stopped in for lunch on our way home. I ordered first and had no issues. Then my mother ordered, in her order she got a hot coffee. This is where it all goes downhill. They put her hamburger and fries on the tray then tell her that they are waiting on her coffee. He had to ask 3 people if they knew how to make coffee and no one knew how to make it. Meanwhile the supervisor is out in the lobby eating and there’s a worker running back and forth telling her what everyone is doing. mean while my mom’s food is getting cold because of the coffee they are waiting for. Finally someone knows how to make it and it takes another 4 minutes. Her food was cold by the time she ate it. This place is so dysfunctional.

While eating, we watched the manager leave the kitchen area and walk around the seating area, asking customers about their food. We have never witnessed this remarkable behavior anywhere in the world! In addition, the landscaping was immaculate!!

The burger I got was a crispy chicken BLT. It was a bit on the small.side the chicken didn’t cover the whole bunch, and the lettuce stuck way out around it, a small piece of tomato and a piece of bacon about 3/4 inches big…. Like really!? The service was good, friendly and talkative as well as pretty fast even though I was about 5th in line at lunchtime. None of us had to pull over and wait for anything and the line just moved through.

In my experience the food is rarely fresh. Hope you love mayonnaise. Out of 5 burgers I’ve had over the months all of them were overloaded with mayo. And the meat was cold and dry. Lettuce was the freshest part but so much mayo made it inedible. Wendy’s needs to care more.

This location is awesome, at least in my experience. Busloads of students stopping in unexpectedly after Mansfield University’s musical for area K-12 districts, and the staff here didn’t skip a beat. Orders were correct, staff handled the rush perfectly. The manager walked around checking that everything was correct, and talked to the students about if they liked the show. This is how I wish all fast food places would be!
