Very polite individual. Food was delicious. Customers seem to love it and keep coming back. One guy got crawfish and crab. Which looked delicious. It was enormous lol. I had the shrimp Platter and was pleased. My husband had the red beans and rice with catfish. Yummy… boudin balls were yummy.

Wendell’s was recommended to us by a friend and admittedly we were a bit skeptical. We have been missing good cajun food since we moved here from Baton Rouge almost 2 years ago. Lots of places claim great cajun, few actually impress. Do not let the catering in the name fool you, they have an open dining room fully decorated in Mardis Gras fashion. We were greeted with a smile and seated by the window. The owner, who is readily available, graciously answered all my questions and laughed at my skepticism as I went over the menu. We ordered the boudain balls, blackened shrimp poboy, and blackened alligator poboy. After the appetizer came out I understood his smirk. It was fabulous!! The poboys came out each with a large side of fries and excellent presentation. They were even more fabulous than the boudain balls! We will definitely be going back!! Sadly I will have to add a better photo next visit (hopefully). Most of the food was gone when I realized, I forgot the photo! So I was able to get a decent photo of half of my shrimp poboy which still shows how delicious it looked!
