I bought the most delicious cranberry almond scone and ate it a day later. Somehow it was still soft in the middle, crunchy and crisp on the outside, and had just enough sweetness you’d want from a scone. The lemon rice chicken soup was amazing. The owner and staff are lovely. In the past I’ve pre-ordered a Buche de Noel for Christmas supper and not only was it festive and beautiful, it was a chocolatey, decadent, and divine treat. What a gem of a bakery!

Delicious ham and cheese croissant breakfast for about $5.

Parking out front.

Half a dozen tables inside, and a whole salad and sandwich selection and drink cooler to boot!

As a new regular at Wellesley Bakery, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’m honestly tempted to keep it to myself but this place deserves all the love and business in the world. From the moment you step in, the warmth and friendliness of the staff make you feel like part of the family. I’ll be coming back again and again, knowing I’m not just getting amazing food but also supporting a wonderful family business that truly cares.

They’ve been around since the mid 90s. Family run small bakery and cafe in Wellesley. This bakery and cafe establishment is a staple in the community. The food is prepared fresh every day! Can be crowded during lunch time. So it’s best to order a head. Great food at a reasonable price.

I ordered a ham and cheese croissant, a cup of coffee and a bowl of chicken noodle soup.

This place has been on my list for a while now and I am sad I didn’t make it here earlier. We got the following
1. Chicken special wrap – delicious
2. Chicken and rice soup – perfectly balanced and comforting
3. Broccoli quiche – stand out, the filling was buttery and so so so good. This came with a side of salad
4. Butter croissant – perfect to dip in the coffee
5. Apple croissant – perfectly balanced filling to dough ratio
6. Coffee – top notch.

I highly recommend you try them and I plan to add them to my monthly brunch rotation. Simple delicious food served in a warm cozy environment.

Wellesley Bakery is counter service and they rush you like you are just another name on a list. The food lands too salty like someone forgot the delicate balance. The scone is dry parched really and falls apart without any grace. It is all flash with little follow through like they care more about the line than the taste. You want a place with soul and care not just a quick pit stop. Here it feels like style trumps substance every time. Such a shame because the neighborhood deserves better than this half-hearted effort.

The Wellesley Bakery is a hidden gem. Not much seating — more grab and go. Love the salads and wraps, and their soups and baked goods are fabulous. Great lunch choice for those in the area.

Such a gem. Not the best decor, no millennial trendy vibe, but such a nice family who really knows how to bake pastries and breakfast treats. I’d recommend them to anyone.

Wellesley Bakery is owned by a lovely Cambodian refugee family and is considered by many as the town’s hidden gem. The place itself is unassuming and casual but the food is impeccable and scrumptious. All the baked goods (bread, muffins, pastries), as well as soups, sandwiches, salads, quiches, are freshly prepared and delicious. In a town with people who can afford to eat anywhere, this place has been in business for nearly 30 years because the quality of the food is top notch, the prices are fair, and the people running it are kind and friendly. They are truly a part of the community and have a stream of customers that are both decades long regulars and people making pilgrimages for their pies (special ordered 3 times per year). One of my favorite places in the world for a quick bite. The Super Special Chicken Sandwich, pecan rolls, chocolate chip cookies, Lemon Chicken Soup, and fresh spring rolls are our household favorites.
