I asked my girlfriend to Marry me at Tunnels beach about two hours prior to our reservation. The Terrace was the absolute perfect spot to celebrate our engagement. We watched the sunset while enjoying cocktails. The perfect light menu for us. The rolls were great as was everything else. Our server was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend you treat yourself to this experience if you are in the North shore area of Kauai.

We’ve eaten at Welina at the 1 Hotel Princeville a few times during our stay, and it’s always been incredible — their sushi is a true 10/10. Tonight was our last night on the island, and we planned our evening around having their amazing sushi one more time. We arrived around 9:10pm, not realizing they closed at 9:00, and were absolutely devastated.

Our waiter, Robbie, completely saved the night. He went above and beyond — literally went back to the kitchen to ask if they could still serve us, and they did! We were so grateful and impressed. That kind of care and effort says everything about this restaurant and the 1 Hotel as a whole. Truly exceptional service, incredible food, and an overall amazing experience.

Excellent food, views, service, ambiance, live music and cell reception. If you like Tapas and Drinks, this is the place. People complained it’s expensive. It’s an expensive hotel at $1000+/night. Kinda expect it. The food was very tasty. Cocktails awesome.

Food was mid/average. Service, horrendous. Wish we had a different waitress. The atmosphere is awesome, lovely sunset views….just wish it matched the food quality and service quality. Heck pricey for a lackluster experience.

Welina Terrace is such a lovely, intimate spot — perfect for a date night. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it. The food was incredible, especially the maki rolls, and their crispy rice roll was honestly the best I’ve ever had.

The only reasons anyone should go to this restaurant are 1. If you are staying at this hotel and you have to eat here. 2. If one of your friends is playing love music there. Otherwise, you can absolutely skip it. Valet is $20, the food is limited, super basic, and way over priced. Service was good and the live music was a nice touch. But, you can get way better food and experience for MUCH cheaper. You do not get your money’s worth here. Not worth the money or time.

The views here are really what you come (pay) for. The atmosphere is gorgeous, amazing views. Service is top notch, and the food is delicious but the menu when we went was small, and very expensive. We had a group of 4 and shared several small plates, glad we had a wonderful experience. I would go back for the view, but probably not the dining.

Sushi Bar on top of the Hotel 1. Only Valet parking for $20 and $40 sushi plates. The view is amazing and experience is worth it. Great sushi, drinks and service.

Welina terrace was incredible. It’s got a great view, and the drinks are truly spectacular. The classic welina drinks were my favorite – the “La nebula” and the secret menu coconut whiskey sour. I understand it’s expensive, but I say sit at the bar, not the tables! Robbie was our bartender and he was the best. See you again soon!

Stopped by for cocktails and they were absolutely delicious! We didn’t get to try the food because we had a dinner reservation at the restaurant next door, but the drinks were great and we really enjoyed the vibe!
