Came here for dinner with my uncle. I moved out of state and we haven’t seen each other in 21 years. We all got grinders. They were ok, but nothing to write home about. I have realized grinders are all about the bread. Here just wasn’t it. I got a cooked salami grinder. Ended up going to frankos and I finally got a true good grinder. My son and uncle got the veal parmesan. They were not impressed and there was very little cheese on them. They were not happy with them. We got an order of French fries. They were excellent. Fresh cut French fries. I was disappointed by the grinder, but they might have other items that are good.

So so good pizza. Came here looking for something new instead of going to the same places over and over, and I was absolutely not disappointed. The server was super funny and kind, and the pizza came out in good time perfectly cooked, ooey and gooey like I love. The dough was soft and thick but crusted and the cheese and toppings had the perfect amount. I’ll definitely be coming back here 🙂

I’m not sure if there are so many good reviews because people were just lucky, or if because this place is in the middle of nowhere. The pizza was decent but overpriced. My order was messed up twice. The wrap was so stale the bread was hard as a rock and cut my gums lol I tried to pick the wrap off but it was tuna, so it was just a mess everywhere. The tuna was dripping water and flavorless. The prep guy must have been lazy because the onions were giant chunks. Good luck.

Im from CT. So I’ve had all the great pizzas. Frank, Sally’s, etc. Weideles is one of my favorite. My wife and I live nearby and the pizza is outstanding. Very impressed. My new favorite spot.

Fairly decent pizza in the middle of nowhere, and open in the middle of a blizzard . Old style restaurant seating area was charming.

Looking for a place where you can bring a group for good food at an actually affordable price? Weidele’s is your place, tho it’s way off the beaten path — the ultimate hidden gem! Seven of us ended up here after a nearby horse show in the CT countryside, thanks to one family member who frequents it. We discovered excellent pizza (the best white pizza I’ve had in ages, with lots of fresh garlic and feta, cheddar and mozzarella) and homey specials we don’t often see in our trendy Newport home: stuffed peppers and stuffed cabbage (both excellent, tho my husband wanted me to recommend an additional wrap of cabbage). Also available: lots of grinders, pasta, calzones and fried seafood. The whole staff is kind and funny, serving up a yummy complimentary dough boy to celebrate when our 10-year-old granddaughter came in wearing all the ribbons she’d won at the show (and it was her birthday!). The cherry on top: The wine list has labels you’ve heard of starting at $6 a glass. Our entire bill was just over $100 (tho it was an early dinner and we didn’t order alcohol. Next time: wine!) Kudos to this family business!

This is a picture of the tuna grinder I opened today. The cheese like flew over plopped out. The grinder was so soggy and I watched them pull it out of the oven. I had a five minute commute from there. Gross
