Love this place for all menu options…except for the baked cod. Awesome German food and delicious reuben soup. The last time we ordered two fish fry (1 fried, 1 baked cod). The fish fry was good as usual. However, the baked cod was tiny for what we paid. The wait time was horrible, over an hour past the time we were told to come and park in the “take out” parking spots. We saw a few people that showed up after us come and go. The wait staff that took our order had to clarify what we had originally ordered, as what he repeated back to us was incorrect. While I understand they ALWAYs are super busy, especially on Fridays, they usually aren’t this inefficient both service and time-wise. Needless to say I was disappointed and will not be back for quite some time. I hope it was just an “off” night. :/

My wife and I have been coming here for years. It has been awhile since our last time with the pandemic and all. We ordered fish fries and picked them up curbside which is really nice. Mine was a perch fry with fries ($18.65) and was really good, my wife had a three piece haddock ($12.75)with potato pancakes and was very disappointed, the pancakes were very hard and the fish was way overcooked, you could see it in the crust and taste it. I could have rated it lower but I know this isn’t the normal for them. We will still go back and give it another go. Sometimes it is better to dine in as you can compliment or complain right away. Perch is on the right.

The best lake perch in SE Wisconsin. We’ve been eating here for 8 years. Every visit is awesome. Potato pancakes, claim chowder, awesome.

Tried the Friday night fish sampler. Shrimp and perch were great. Cod was OK. Scallops were disappointing as the breading overpowered the flavor. Coleslaw was tasty as was the potato pancakes.

Long wait for the fish fry even after opening! Fish was good, but had a bone. Would definitely go back again though! Worth the wait. Not much of a bar area to wait around in. Was standing area only. Coleslaw and pancakes were really good as well!

I rarely give 5 stars unless the place really give me that wow factor and Wegner’s did just that. The restaurant is not the biggest place overall in fact it’s quite small ( highly recomend reservation) but I think thats what gives it it’s charm. The service and the atmosphere is outstanding very impressed. The food was amazing very impressed and more importantly it was Delicious. Wegner’s St. Martin I will be back

I love this place and stop by every time I’m back home visiting from LA. I was in last week Sunday and they had the Sauerbraten on special and it was fantastic! I had pretty much the perfect dining experience: awesome food, super friendly owner lady who was able to squeeze us in with a same day reservation, and some really old guy on another table complaining about one of the waitresses. This was the meal of 2019 for me (even beating out Peter Luger in NYC this year) and I’m happy to give a well earned five star review.

Fish was delicious! Went on a Friday night during lent. Waited only 20 min or so at bar. I started with a clam chowder that was very very good. Chowder had Red potatoes, good seasoning, and bits of clam that blended well. On to the fried cod…The fish batter was buttery, seasoned just right, and had excellent texture. The batter complimented the flavors of the cod that was cooked perfectly. The tartar was tangy and well made. Cole slaw had a sweet and creamy taste that melded well with everything else. Also I ordered the German potato salad that was Smokey and sweet. Wait staff was lovely. I highly recommended Wegner’s fish fry. @bestfry_mke has good fish fry reviews on IG
