This iconic ice cream shop located in Jefferson Wisconsin has a generous amount of nostalgia. A family owned and operated business focused on quality ingredients and flavors filled with something for every family member. A vast array of ice cream flavors to choose from in a dish or in a cone. We especially love the cookie sandwiches and love the holiday time advent ice cream box. Oh my, the shakes are an experience all on their own! Creativity is in full effect at this little gem where the only limits are your imagination. Great selection of ice cream sundae’s and so much more. Whether your stop is for ice cream or lunch there is a great selection of burgers, chicken sandwiches, soups, and more. Indoor and outdoor seating and don’t to get a picture of the kids in the big chair on the patio. Close to downtown shops and close to the park for a stroll along the riverfront. You will feel right at home at this sweet spot.

Quaint little burger stand with more than delicious burgers . We had the onion rings, fries a double cheeseburger with grilled onions and a single patty burger with grilled onions . Took home the special of the day a Philly cheese steak. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious soft bread and yummy fried onions . Would definitely go back again to try the other items on the menu. I like that when they call you that your order is ready , the lady reads off the order so you know your order is correct.

This place is very well known around here. It used to be known as “Armstrong’s”. My family has been visiting this burger shack every summer for generations. I had never personally been there until my husband took us on one of our first “dates” before we were married. That day there was a long line, but it was worth the wait.
The beef is locally sourced and the recipe is the same as it was 109 years ago. They mention these awesome highlights on their website as well. My husband insists there is no greater place for burgers in the state, or anywhere else.
Pros: incredible burger recipe. Griddle space burgers, thin patties that are rich and crispy on the edges- these are what Culvers patties wish they could be. They leave the burgers plain- either with cheese and onions (fried or raw, either choice is free), so it’s up to you for quality control in the sauce and toppings department.
Quality meat, unmatched flavor. Crispy fries and fabulous service with friendly smiles.
They also offer hand made ice cream, though ive never had a chance to try it yet. Ill get back to you after i cash in the kids meal ice cream tokens.

This place has been around since 1916. They use a griddle that’s over 108 years old. There’s a lot of history with this hamburger business and the food was phenomenal. The best place I take an entire country when it comes to simple hamburgers with fried onions and cheese.

Great little seasonal hamburger stand right outside of a custard shop. Big flavor for such a small stand. Right in downtown Jefferson, about 10 minutes south of the Johnson Creek I94 exit. I had the triple cheeseburger and fries, it was super good and I would definitely eat there again. Quick and friendly, they handled a pretty good lunch line quickly and efficiently. Awesome burger.

Great hamburger joint! We stopped by early on a Saturday and didn’t have to wait to order. Food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The burger lived up to my expectations: simple, but effective. Loved the cheese curds and onion rings, too. Really helpful and friendly staff. I want to get back to try their fancy shakes (and another cheeseburger).

Great experience. Ice cream, fries and onion rings were delicious. We liked the cheeseburgers, but they were a little too salty becauseof too much seasoning. Esp since they had American cheese which is already salty. It was a cool experience to eat at a place that’s been around for decades.
