We absolutely enjoyed our visit to Webb Custom Kitchen! Excellent atmosphere, staff, service, food and drinks! Jacob our host was super friendly and very accommodating. Jessie the manager was very nice and super knowledgeable about the restaurant. Our server (unfortunately I forgot her name, I’m sorry) was super tentative and knowledgeable about the history of the theater. Everything was delicious. Especially the truffle fries Definitely a must stop when in the area. We absolutely will be back.

Very enjoyable experience. Was there for brunch and it was a great atmosphere with a buzz in the room. The open kitchen and well stocked bar added to the charm of the old theater. The food and drinks were great! Tasty and tender. Used a fork for cutting the ribeye!! The duck cigar appetizer gave just enough duck to flavor but not overpower. The sauces with them were a nice blend in flavors. Recommend and will be visiting again soon!

This has to be one of the coolest restaurants that we have been to in while as far as atmosphere! It’s set in an early beginning theater from the 1900’s. Absolutely spectacular. The service is top tier as well. Gracie was our server and she was 5 stars all the way. The food however needs a bit of work. We started with the potato soup and fried green tomatoes. The soup was just ok the tomatoes were actually pretty good. Our entraeas arrived, i got the Chilean sea bass which was lacking in a bit of seasoning. The bacon risotto was a bit crunchy as well but not terrible, just not what I expected for the 60 dollar price point. The big disappoint was the charbroiled chicken my husband got. It’s was very dry to the point it was hard to cut and stringy. Over all this was a great place to go for atmosphere but the food needs some work. We may give this place another try in the future, perhaps the kitchen was just having a bad night.

The Webb was an exceptional performance from the host(Chris) greeting at the door all the way through every interaction of wait staff including the history of this historic theatre told by the waitress(Abigail) Exceptional food quality, taste and presentation! The uniqueness and history of the building made for an outstanding atmosphere. Appetizers, drinks, soups, main courses, coffee and desert….all top shelf. To top it off a tour of the upper levels was the icing on the cake. 100% recommendations all the way around. An absolute perfect experience!

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We were lucky enough to get a balcony table. The atmosphere was amazing. Really unique and beautiful. Not loud either – we could hear each talk. Ramone was are server and was excellent. We got the duck cigar appetizer. My husband got the ribeye with potato cakes and the risotto. I got filet mignon with buttery smashed Yukon gold potatoes and Asparagus. We ended with the creme brulee. All the food was amazing. The only thing with room for improvement were the cocktails – they were fine, not a wow. Definitely worth the drive out to Gastonia (about 45 minutes for us). We would have paid much more for a meal of this quality in Charlotte or Raleigh area.

My first time at the Thanksgiving dinner event tonight; what a great an experience! I really love the atmosphere and tiered layout. The service was amazing and food was off the chain. I got the ribeye with green beans and mash, and the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. I would love to come back to see their usual menu!!

From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with this old-school movie magic vibe—classic films playing while you dine, cozy indoor seating, and an inside balcony that makes the whole place feel nostalgic, cool, and effortlessly unique. It’s like dinner and a movie, but done right.
Let’s talk food—because WOW. The martinis are absolutely off the wall (creative, bold, dangerous in the best way). The Angry Lobster is a must—don’t even think about skipping it. Good lord.
And don’t sleep on the wedge salad—hands down the best blue cheese in town. Period.
The fried green tomatoes? Out of this world.
The ribs literally fell off the bone, paired perfectly with loaded mashed potatoes.
The shrimp and grits were rich, comforting, and insanely good.
And the best part? There are still so many trios and combinations left to try—the menu is an endless playground of taste-bud-exploding goodness.
Webb’s Kitchen isn’t just somewhere you eat—it’s somewhere you go back to, again and again. ️
Highly recommend. No notes. Just go.

We made a reservation for 6:45 and were sat just after 7. The bar was a decent spot to have a drink while we waited for our table. There were 5 adults in our party.
Service with Magno was excellent. He was a gracious host and took us on a tour of the menu. He gave us recommendations, and the popular choices.
I recommend that you sit with him and order ribeye.
We ordered the duck cigars and cheesy bread as an appetizer. I think a 3rd appetizer would be appropriate for 5 people.
The duck cigars were very tasty and served with 3 sauces that range from sweet to spicy sweet to spicy (like wasabi spicy.)
The cheesy bread was my favorite. It was flavorful and creamy.
We ordered sea bass, lamb, ribeye.
The seabass was tender and paired exceptionally well with its risotto and lemon cream.
The ribeye was delicious and cooked to requested temperature.
The lamb was flavorful and cooked to requested temperature.
As for sides, our favorite was the snow peas and carrots. It has a little zing to it. The mac and cheese is good. I wasn’t a bit fan of the spinach because I thought the flavor to be a little too plain for what I was expecting.
Desserts are really good. The chocolate cake is rich with explosive flavor while the coconut cake is creamy and gentle. I prefer the crème brûle.
Balcony seating looks interesting, and while the speakers don’t play the movie that’s showing, I still think it could be a vibe.

Truly amazing experience. The setting and Atmosphere was unbelievable. Loved the balcony seating. Food was incredible I had the ribeye with a side of risotto. Perfect and delicious. My guest had the salmon and it was equally delicious. The Duck cigars were superb. Our server Olivia was outstanding.. Very knowledgeable and took time to explain each dish we asked about and also told us the history of the building.
This restaurant had been on my list of must visit places for many years, finally made it down to Gastonia and it was definitely worth it. Will definitely be back.
