Weather Mark Tavern has a great bar vibe—relaxed, comfortable, and not overly loud, which made it easy to enjoy a conversation. The service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed.

The food was good and reasonably priced for what you get. We tried the **Cheese Curds**, **Fish Tacos**, and **Southern Hot Brown Sliders**. The cheese curds were crispy on the outside and perfectly gooey inside. The fish tacos were fresh and well-seasoned, with a nice balance of flavor and texture. The Southern Hot Brown sliders were a pleasant surprise—savory, rich, and something a little different from the usual bar menu.

Overall, it’s a solid spot for casual drinks and good food. I’d definitely come back.

I’m appalled by the rude service my husband and I received by one of your servers. My husband arrived a little after 9 PM, and after waiting for over 20 minutes to be acknowledged, he was able to flag down one of the women (long hair with darker roots, lighter hair at the ends) working in order to put in an order food. She said she would get someone for him so that he could be able to put in a food order, but over ten minutes had passed and this did not happen. When my husband tried to go up to her to ask about food, she avoided eye contact with him and another lady answered that the kitchen had closed. We were extremely upset because we were told that a server was going to come to us. After I had loudly talked about this incident at my table, an amazing older blonde lady with an accent took care of us and was AMAZING. She was seriously the only thing that saved this night. Unfortunately, after she had offered us drinks (AND we had already paid for said drinks) the same lady from before came up to our table and rudely told us that the bar had been closed for 40 minutes. There was no warmth or apology in her tone, and obviously if the order had gone through in the first place it’s because someone decided to take it for us. It’s not like we went up and typed the order in the computer ourselves. Again, the older blonde lady saved our night, but I don’t think I’ll be back after being treated so poorly by your other server. We were here for a networking event and it was embarrassing for us to keep getting mistreated by one of your servers in front of everyone else.

We came for but all you can eat fish and chips on a Friday night on 3/14/25. They also have a happy hour menu from 4 to 6 PM Monday through Friday. I am not sure if this all you can deal is just for lent or bc it’s close to St Patrick’s Day in 3 days. The atmosphere is fun and lots of tables and lots of TV flatscreen everywhere to watch sports and drink and eat with. They have three bathrooms. And they have outdoor seating. And they have a window that looks like a garage window, which is really nice. The corned beef dish for About $19.50 was really good. This was the special St Patties Day menu. The food took a very long time to come out for 2 dishes and 1 second round of extra fish and chips platter. We stayed almost 2 hours bc the food came so late. Fun atmosphere and the food was good … just took too long. Parking on the street with meters at $2.50 per hour. Parking was easy to find at night starting around 5pm. Staff was friendly.

We went to the Weather Mark Tavern for Happy Hour. It could not have been better. The bartender was great and helped explain the Happy Hour offerings as well as the varied draft beer selections. A huge plus was the friendly crowd who welcomed us from out of state. The prices are very reasonable and that is rare in this city.

So the blueberry pancakes were 10 out of 10, but my chicken and waffles were overcooked and dry. Our waitress was great and made it right. I had the passion fruit cocktail. It was good but definitely strong.

Long standing South Loop bar with friendly staff and plenty of room to watch sports. Food is great. Big fan of the cheese curds.

We hosted an academic gathering event at Weather Mark Tavern last night with 77 people and it was fantastic! We really appreciated how flexible Mark was – our event wouldn’t have been possible without their accomodations. I highly recommend this place!

On Sunday December 14th – the coolest Bear game I’ve ever been to started out on a good note – until it didn’t. My husband and I showed up at Weather Mark to meet our niece and boyfriend for a little pregaming before heading to Soldier field for the noon game. I didn’t realize until we were leaving the car with the valet that I forgot my coat (in the SW suburbs). I asked the sweet lady at the hostess stand if there was any place I could walk to to buy a winter coat since I forgot mine at home. The closest place was a Target 7 blocks away – walking wasn’t going to work. Next idea was to get my car back from the valet and drive to Target. Before I could get the valet ticket from
My husband the owner came out from the back of the restaurant and handed me his winter coat and said “please bring it back when you’re done and please take care of your server”. After tipping our amazing waitress a 100% tip on the bill we walked to the game – which we won, walked back to Weather Mark – returned the coat with a hug, and tipped the valet 100% for his service. Weather Mark Tavern now has 4 customers for life!!

McKenna was great! I feel as if my comment to her about my drink came off rude but she never said anything back in a snippy manner. I apologized later because how I said it delivered the wrong message, but she has great customer service and maintained a professional line of communication! Sorry again, it was not my intention.
