I stopped in to get a take out sandwich. Just one sandwich as stated on the menu. No other items. No substitutions or add ons. This should be the easiest thing in the world to do. The order taker asked me, “Are chips ok?” I replied, “Yes, your menu states it comes with chips. I want chips.” Of course these questions are always an upsell attempt. I LOVE the kettle chips.
I did not check the food before leaving. I opened the box and found zero chips. I looked at the receipt and saw someone went out of their way to write “no chips” on the order right after asking me if chips was ok. Once again, I said I wanted chips, then clarified the menu states the sandwich comes with chips. Not only is it a mystery how just one item can get screwed up seconds after clear communication, but you always need to check your take out orders before leaving. I made the easiest order possible and was clear as I possibly could be. I was, of course, charged full price for an incomplete order.

Stopped in for lunch. It was a good choice. Waitstaff is down to Earth. Food came out quickly and hot. The chips are very seasoned. Food had great flavor. A little on the expensive side, but a nice place to try.

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch and had a great experience. The service was excellent—quick, attentive, and friendly. The food was really good, freshly made, and full of flavor. The staff were all very warm and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Great first time experience at “Wayzata Bar & Grill (the Muni) – My brother-in-law recommended that I go for a good cheese burger and they didn’t disappoint! Great burger, juicy and cooked medium as I ordered , good fries, plus we got onion rings as appetizer, enormous fresh-cut rings that were also solid.
Not just burgers though, decent-sized Americana menu. Wife got salad, very fresh and good portion.
Large bar, good service, and has some Outdoor seating for summer.
1 stop , dual entrance , restaurant/bar on the right, full liquor store to the left.
Right on Lake Minnetonka’s main bay in downtown Wayzata, boutique shops nearby, perfect for a stroll before or after dinner. Very casual place.
Solid spot that delivered on the recommendation!”

Had lunch at the Muni in Wayzata, it was a summer Saturday and downtown Wayzata was busy. Service was good, sat inside even though the patio looked good too. Had the BLT with chips, and a local beer. Everything was very good. If you’re looking for a casual stop without all that goes with the pricier side of Wayzata, the Muni is a good choice.

The Wayzata Bar & Grill is locally known as “The Muni”. It caters to locals – but you’ll be welcomed and treated like a local as soon as you walk through the door. The place is welcoming and usually quite busy, though they somehow seem to always have a table free. It’s very family friendly, but serves just as well as a place to hang out with friends.
There is a wide variety of offerings to choose from. Everything is fresh. If you like onion rings, they may have the best in the world.
My go to is their Salmon Poke Bowl – it’s been on their “specials” for months and I hope it soon finds a place on the main menu. The burgers, gyros, and other sandwiches are all wonderful – as are the salads. You really can’t go wrong. If you like cheesecake, order a piece to share before you go (the slices are huge).
The servers are always friendly and professional.
My only complaint is the big screen TVs on the walls that are inescapable. I know a lot of folks like to watch sports while hanging out, but it just feels like an unnecessary distraction to me. A media free corner would be nice.

Hi. Our first time here on 9/25/24. We came here with 6 other people and were sat by the outdoor door. The bright sunlight bothered us so much so they kindly moved us to the back corner, but the setting sun also followed us there too.. Grrr. Anyways! We split the check by couples and the waiter was super professional and really nice. We are all over the age of 50. The bathrooms were very clean and the ladies had a accessible stall too. There is a liquor store attached to the restaurant. Parking is in the ramp, us free, or in the lot, also free! I got this huge pepperoni pizza.. It was rather unseasoned, so I wish I had brought my creole seasoning or garlic salt, but the Size was amazing! My aunt loves the sandwich that comes with the Au Jus sauce (steak & cheese?) (I’m having a brain fart) and a few other amazing sandwiches she said are her favs here too! The fries are double fried I think? My Husband looovveed them! They let us sit & reminisce for a good amount of time, thankfully! Enjoy my pictures!
