TLDR: Great food, Great service and insane value for your money.
The amount of food you get is insane. I paid $24 ( after taxes ) got ribs and freshly made fries and a huge fountain drink.
Coming to the food, fries were perfect and one of the ribs was a bit too salty for my liking but most of them were perfectly cooked and smokey taste was cherry on the top.
Will be back for their brisket, oh I almost forgot the service made the entire experience so much better.

So… this is not the Wayland that I remember. Granted it was a Tuesday night. When we arrived, the staff greeted us with a warm smile and said, “She’ll be with you in one minute,” and it was exactly one minute. We wanted to check out their rib special. It was the best ribs in Thunder Bay and the value for the money was impressive!
The smoke flavour was not overpowering, and the BBQ sauce had the perfect amount of sweet. The fries were crispy on the outside while maintaining a fluffy inside. I would 100% recommend and will be returning to try their other smoked goods!
The only downside..cause there has to be one, was the coleslaw it was very disappointing and bland. The one thing that would have made it perfect would be cornbread!

Didn’t eat there… but it looks good. The servers are great, and the atmosphere is very pub old school bar vibe.
I go there for armwrestling. So if you want to armwrestle and get stronger, I recommend you check this place out. Some of top tier pullers of the country are in there. Great opportunity to be humbled!

Great find!!!! A step back in time. Old hotel bar with a BBQ Pit out the back. Food is amazing, cost is fair and service by both bar & BBQ chef extraordinaire was spot-on. Tip: order the Philly Cheese Steak. Yum

My daughter was telling me how great the burgers and fries where so about a month and a half ago we ordered and yes they where delicious. So on the 8th of January we ordered the bacon BBQ burger and fries again well when we got home and opened our meals let me tell I was over charged we did not get what we ordered it was some dried up brisket on a gross greasy patty and bun it was just awful and ended up in the garbage. I did call and they offered to remake the food but I couldn’t bring myself to go back as I was nauseous from just the one bite and now whoever made that order ruined it for me I will never go back . Hopefully they repeat the order over the phone when a customer orders so they know what they are actually getting and charge for what you actually order. Not impressed.

Twice in the last week pre-ordered food here to be ready for noon. Working up the street so figured it’d be a good idea, nice and quick. Instead both times waited 20 minutes of my 30 minute lunch break for the food that was supposed to be ready when I got there. Then to top it off items were missing from the order. Won’t be going back ever

Love Nightmare on Gore! Always such a great night. Definitely want to check it out on Halloween. Decorations are fantastic, music was great, food delicious. Drinks are super affordable as well
