I recently visited Wayback Burgers and was blown away by the entire experience. The customer service was top-notch; every team member was welcoming and attentive. The restaurant itself was sparkling clean, which made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in.
As for the food, it was phenomenal. I loved how I could fully customize my burger to get exactly what I wanted, and it tasted amazing—juicy and fresh. I also tried the chili dog, which was packed with flavor. To top it all off, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake was a revelation. It was thick, creamy, and had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. This location truly stands out for its fantastic food and exceptional service.

The service was amazing and the staff were so friendly, but the milkshakes were not good. The birthday shake was nothing but rainbow sprinkles from bottom to top. In every bite. I couldn’t enjoy it because I’m not a fan of sprinkles and there was nothing else in it. My friend had the chocolate brownie milkshake but it didn’t taste like chocolate at all. To be honest it tasted like expo marker, like someone just put cleaner in it. I wish I could make this review better, but I couldn’t even finish either of the shakes. Plus we waited a long time for just shakes.

The bourbon sauce (my husband says it’s like smoky mustard) on the bourbon bacon burger made this burger stand out from other burgers. We’ll be back for more! The onion rings were also delicious. The place was clean and nice.

“As someone involved in the food business, I truly appreciate consistency and execution. Wayback in Pleasant Grove delivers both. The burgers are well-seasoned, cooked to order, and served hot. You can tell they follow a solid system in the kitchen. The staff works efficiently and keeps a positive attitude, which makes the experience even better. Clean environment, good flow, and strong brand identity. Definitely a well-managed location.”

My husband raved about this burger place, so I had to try it. The service was friendly, and both the indoor and outdoor dining areas were clean. I ordered a single burger with an added onion ring — I expected large rings like the photo on the menu, but that wasn’t the case. They were heavy on the condiments, which made the burger pretty messy. The tater tots tasted like they’d been fried in oil used for fish, which wasn’t pleasant.
Overall, I wasn’t impressed, though my husband loved his burger and Oreo shake. Someone else mentioned you could get a similar burger at Wendy’s for less — I’d have to agree.

Food is great. I think the taste is pretty good but honestly I’m looking at food to cost ratio. The problem is now there are places better suited for a better price. looking at it you could easily be over $20
Per person. And that’s just a lot. The food portions are a little bit of an issue. I just feel like for $6 on large fry or $8 chicken tenders, there would just be more. So that’s what sends me over the edge to me. The food is good tho If I could add a 1/2 star I would because I did use a coupon (love when restaurants are part of starving student cards, etc). Overall good food, good atmosphere, employees were nice and the place was pretty clean when we sat down. But yea that cost is what drags me down to 3 stars

They allowed us to heavily abuse the starving student card and we got lots of food. The chicken tenders are fantastic, and the milk shakes are creative and great as well. The burgers are pretty yummy, the only feedback being to not go so hard on the mustard and see if we can get a little more crispy far rendered on that party for extra meaty goodness because the meat didn’t hit the home run like a lot of gourmet burgers do. Probably add a little more salt too.

My boys loved their Bourbon Bacon Cheese Burger, shake and onion rings.
We asked for a side and of BBQ, but didn’t get it. The fries were cold. We did take it to go though.
My bacon cheeseburger did not get any cheese. I also asked for mayo and did not get it. Surprises me that it is two patties. Not really very filling and the patties fall to pieces. I ate the whole thing when I can only eat half a hickory bacon at JCWS.
The young man that served us was super sweet.

Wayback is a great burger place. Hand dipped shakes, numerous side options, even some vegetarian options. The food is good, with good portions. I’ve tried most of the burgers on the menu and love them all. Wayback is a regular stop in my lunch rotation. There really is nothing to complain about, the restaurant is always clean. The staff is friendly. The food is delicious, and even the rewards program is good.

Tried this place for the first time. The burgers were very good. I custom built my burger and I like that almost all of the toppings available to choose are included in the price. My husband chose the Cajun burger and thought it was very good-he wanted more of the Cajun sauce because he liked it so much. The patties were juicy and not charred and dry like JCWs are.
The fries weren’t my favorite -they did come very fresh and hot, but I like my fries crispy and these weren’t. They also could use some salt in my opinion.
The tater tots (we tried regular) were awesome. When we told them that the tots came out a little cold, they immediately got us a fresh batch.
Overall, we will definitely be returning for those awesome burgers.
