My wife and I dined in. We were driving for about 30 minutes just looking for a new place to eat at the we haven’t tried. My wife spotted this place so I pulled in. The staff was not rude but they definitely were not welcoming at all either. Never saw a smile , actually I’d say they seemed unhappy to be there. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with the bacon cheese fries and my wife just had Buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. It was $31! Expensive for burgers. Then we sat down and waited. And waited and waited. We were the only ones here, although they were making online orders. It took forever to get our food. And it wasn’t horrible but it was very bland. The bacon burger was really bland. The bacon was great. It was the best part of my meal for sure. As for the bacon cheese fries, the fries were not salted or seasoned in any way and tasted bland as well but the bacon and cheese used were both very good. I would have given 3 stars because the food was very fresh just not seasoned but the staff’s unfriendly attitude and how dirty it was it’s lucky to get 2 stars. Every table in there was filthy and I feel like it’s been like that for days before we came in. When was the last time anything was cleaned? I won’t be back.

Visiting Chicago on a business trip. I’m glad I stopped by Wayback Burgers for lunch. The milkshakes are creamy and so tasty. I had the double cheeseburger. The beef patties and bacon were warm, the lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and onions were cool and crisp. The Burger experience was one of the best I’ve had. Now I’m looking forward to my next trip back to Chicago

i can put up with the mediocre customer service from the staff when they open the door to speak to you and are being rude but what i cant put up with is hair in my food. I would assume what’s with everything that’s going on in the world they would try to be a nicer or put more effort into the quality of the product given to consumers that being said until that point when i saw the hair it was amazing and i was planning to leave a positive review even after dealing with there standoffish employee.

Ordered the 9 patty burger hoping to eat it all in one sitting but I came up a bit short! Burger was tasty and so were the fries. They also sell chicken sandwiches and salads but I’ve never tried those. A number of my coworkers really enjoyed their milkshakes.

Stopped in to check this place out, first time. Ordered the rodeo burger with no bun…good tasting..barbeque sauce, bacon, cheese, and onion rings. Opted for the cheese bacon fries- which were good, but nothing special. I asked for a souffle cup of buffalo ranch sauce- which I used to dip my fries in. Overall, good tasting everything. I do kinda like the “customizable” choices which makes them different. Would call it average fast food…but good. Store was clean and well stocked. Customer service could have been a *tad* bit better…but was still fine. I’d stop back for a burger if I were in the area…the option to go bunless was my best choice. For all shown in picture, right around 13 bucks.

Ordered the fiery burger. It was not to spicy…they do not use fresh jalapeño as pictured it is a vinegar can jalapeño. Could have been more crispy kind of soggy and flavorless. Just ok. They Forgot the side of sauce so gal had to run back in. Only doing curbside pickup…. Noticed no napkins in bag. I would have given 5 stars if the gal was not so lazy to go back in for some and instead to tell me they were out of napkins!!! when I could see a full napkin dispenser in window.

Tasty burgers but a little bit pricey at $5. If you want it made with grilled or crispy chicken, it’s $6. Decent interior but nothing special about it.

Place is alright. Food wasn’t that exciting and waited 45 minutes for my shake. Had a heck of a time getting someone’s attention to find out about it. Finally caught the guy who was ringing and making shakes after two other people received theirs. I know I ordered before them because none of the people there were here when I arrived. Buffalo chicken sandwich was pretty insubstantial and the bacon cheddar fries were pretty disappointing.
The shake is pretty good. Can’t get mad at the guy stuck making them and ringing up customers. He was pretty friendly about it also. This is simply a management defect.

They just opened so the service was overly helpful. Burger was pretty good for $6, and the menu seemed pretty solid for a burger & milkshake joint.
