First timers trying out Wayback Burgers near Liberty Ohio. Everything was great. The manager and staff were also very helpful and our food was made fresh to order. The burgers tasted delicious. My son is picky so if he said to give 5 stars it is well deserved.

Stopped by after a soccer game in the area as the menu looked pretty good. We arrived during non peak hours. Wheen we went to order, there were no handheld menus, just a large menu above the counter. The menu just listed the items, but had zero description of what was on said item. Some listed items had pictures, so you could get an idea of what it was. Having to ask really basic questions about each item gets a little annoying.
We completed our order and sat down at once of the open tables. The dining area wasn’t cramped, which was nice. Three of our four items came out together, but the hot dog four my daughter came out about 5 minutes after that.
There wasn’t anything remarkable about the food we had. Seasoning was OK, food was put together nicely, but the portions were small, compared to other burger restaurants. The sauces were the most memorable items.
Afterwards, we ordered two shakes at $6.99 each. Neither was filled close to the top of the cup. The banana shake tasted like artificial banana, which had I known that, I would’ve ordered a different flavor. Due to the taste and partially filled cup, I’d pass on the shakes.
Again, the food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything worth telling my friends about. I probably won’t make my way back….

Doing this little gem about 10 years ago when I coached baseball and it never really hit my radar again. UNTILLLL today. I saw they had a special for a cheesy burger and a drink for 7.99 so I decided to give it another try and boy am I glad I did. The cheesy burger is basically the hack for 5 Guys grilled cheese with a patty. This burger is and all burgers are made fresh and made to order. I also got fries. The burger was juicy and delicious. I would definitely recommend trying this little gem and getting that burger satisfaction craving. My only issue would be being able to add toppings to the special and not having to pay for the regular price. Other than that we will be back!

As franchises go, I give them leeway, I know the business is hard and trying to keep moving while controlling prices and dealing with change is a game played everyday. The food was great, I highly suggest you order out. Staying in you get to see the small tid bits I am a stickler for. I understand ketchup bottles to be reused but there’s a limit! The menu having literal sold out stickers on it or repricing stickers that shows you don’t want to replace the sign because of the expense and the drinks limited to soda, because the tea was sold out too.

What a difference a new owner makes.
This place has always been a sore spot with me.
With the exception of the first owners, it has been hit and miss.
Mostly miss.
The current owners have really turned things around.
They have been under new ownership for a year.
And it has been at least that long since our last visit.
Today, the food was amazing, and the customer service even more so.
It won’t take another year before we come back.
