Way back burgers is great hands down. My favorite place for burgers, cheap, quick, good vibes, and delicious. Service is comparably a bit worse here but it’s not as though I can particularly complain about it. Still incredible and it’s not like service is bad but not better than they need to be. Awesome place!

The chicken sandwich was juicy, cooked properly, and had real chicken in it. The bacon cheese fries were a generous portion, cooked well, and tasted great.
Their milkshakes are still thick but able to be consumed through a straw. My only “complaint” is their fried pickles are bread and butter pickles when I prefer dill. Their new snack wraps left much to be desired as well the flavor was off in a bad way but I could not tell what the cause of the taste was. Otherwise no complaints from us the food was wonderful and the staff were welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Double bacon burger and the spicy melt were juicy, everything was made fresh. Burgers were smash burger style and cooked properly.
Chili tatertots were bursting with flavor, onion rings were beer battered with whole rings inside. Garlic Romano fries were flavorful, hot, and crisp. If you like garlic warm you will like these fries.
Chicken was moist and had good flavor with the ranch sauce, a bit oily fir me but not bad.
Mint shake was thick but still able to be consumed through a straw. If you don’t want chocolate in it order it with no whipped topping.

With that said, the burger patties are clearly low-grade frozen hamburger (+soy filler) patties from US Foods or SYSCO. But at least they always follow my instructions to build my burger.
The fries are much better than most area restaurants or pizza joints that do that nasty lumpy fry-batter thing which is a hallmark of cheap frozen food.
Wayback’s fries might also be frozen, but they’re just like the yummy boardwalk fries from Mack & Manco’s. And whatever dip you request, they’ll provide. This might be important to some people.
So, I give Wayback 4/5 because they follow directions and don’t succumb to having trash fries (even tho the burger patties are garbage).

Never the common retail courtesy to say “Thank you” to a customer. They just plunked the tray down at my table without a word. Was served a burger where the cheese wasn’t even melted. For the prices this place charges these days, a little courtesy and quality wouldn’t hurt. 2/4/26 around 2:20pm.

When we walked in the staff were being silly and honestly it was refreshing to see instead of miserable employees. The young man who helped us was great at offering suggestions and add ons. The food was delicious. If I had to pick at one thing it would be to wipe down the tables. They all seemed to have something on them.

This was a nice little burger place without the nasty fast food taste. Burgers tasted fresh and cooked to order. Food was nice and hot. They bring your order out to you when it is ready as well. Free refills on drinks. Place was clean and the employees were friendly. Offering 50% off next day visit with current receipt which works out well with the soccer tournaments they seem to always have around the corner.

I have no clue what happened to this place. I haven’t been here for a few years, maybe since before Covid, but like it’s literally so ghetto here. First of all, they have some weird block thing on the door, looks creepy, and then, when I was ordering, there’s a pill on the floor?? Literally a white pill on the floor in a plastic bag, idk if one of the workers was using drugs or something, but that’s super duper odd. I got a water bottle with my food earlier, and normally the bottles have one of the safety plastic locks on them that you peel off, but mine didn’t have one. Did someone already drink out of my water??? Then to top it off, the hamburger was very small, hardly any meat, and was absolutely tasteless, and my hotdog, idk what happened with this, but I stopped eating it like halfway through, because it smelled like marijuana, I felt like I was in Philly. Overall, my experience today was HORRIBLE!!! I’m only giving 2 stars because I used to like it here years ago. I guess it all started going downhill after it got changed from Jakes Wayback, to Wayback burgers. I guess Jake didn’t wanna be blamed for this horrible establishment. Blehhhh
