The food is excellent. I’ve had Mie Goreng, Nasi Bungkus, Salted fish bean sprouts salad, and Nasi Kuning Komplit. Mie Goreng is my favorite/ go-to dish. Such deep flavors!
I also love the Empal Gepuk beef, which you can get separately or with the rice plates.
Service is good and quick. Very chill casual ambience. They also offered free soup by the counter when I went, which was tasty & refreshing. Honestly I have a lot of appreciation for this spot and hope nothing but the best for them!
The nasi kuning komplit was beautifully presented, with fragrant turmeric rice and a mix of sides that balanced each other well, especially the egg and perkedel, which stood out.
The sambal mercon absolutely lives up to its name: pedas, rich, and addicting. It woke up the palate without overpowering anything and paired perfectly with the rice.
The satay kambing was tender and juicy, with a nice bit of char and a savory-sweet peanut sauce that brought everything together.
The ayam nasi goreng felt like comfort food at its best, well-seasoned chicken and fried rice that had that nostalgic, homestyle flavor.
We’ll definitely be back to try more, this spot brings the warmth and depth of Indonesian food in every bite!
Nasi bungkus is rice with a mix of side dishes, wrapped in banana leaves and covered with brown paper, similar to Padang rice.
Lamb satay is really good. It’s super juicy and tender with sweet soy sauce and chili. The second best dish was mee goreng – it’s like a fried egg noodles with vegetables and you can choose from chicken, beef, or shrimp. The third one is stinky bean with shrimp. It’s really tasty with spicy sauce.
The place is super clean, and the food is cooked right when you order it. We ordered Nasi kuning with some chicken and rendang, but the chicken wasn’t that great. It just had a bit of crunchiness on top. Right now, they’re giving out free lemonade and 15% off, and on weekends, they’re giving out free sweet and sour soup.
Overall, the place and the waitress are pretty good, but they do charge a fee for using a credit card. So, make sure you bring some cash with you to avoid that fee. I’d really appreciate it if they could let us know ahead of time if there is a card fee when using it. We’ll definitely be back for different dishes next time.
