We were so pleasantly surprised by this little diner. Apparently they have been around since 1971. Great food and coffee and incredibly reasonable prices!!! The portions are also very generous! Also great service. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, brunch or lunch!!

Stopped here on my way to six flags. Really old school cafe that took me back to being a kid! Food was incredible value and tasted amazing! Best pancakes I’ve ever had

Great little diner on Main Street in Old Town Newhall. All kinds of old license plates on the walls and other cool old signs. Prices & serving sizes were great with a super friendly staff! The waitress told me the building it is in used to be an ice cream parlor and there is a section of the original bar counter top and stools still in use! Highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.

Stopped in at Waystation for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Ordered the two-egg combo with hash browns and bacon—and everything was on point.
The bacon slices are huge, thick, and perfectly crispy. Hash browns had that golden crunch, and the eggs were cooked exactly how I asked.
Then came the pancakes—massive, fluffy, and delicious. One could easily feed two people, but I powered through. Definitely the highlight of the meal.
Also had the fresh-squeezed orange juice, and you can taste the difference—ice cold and super refreshing.
Great service, solid portions, and prices that make it worth every bite. If you’re hungry and want a classic, no-fail breakfast, Waystation is the spot.

Classic American Breakfast, We had walked by here so many times & glad we finally got to eat there.
Food is a good Value for the price. Feels like a small town coffee shop which is great. Overall it was great.
We had a hashbrown that was more of a mash, We asked them to make it crispy After our food was finished I asked to check on the Hashbrown,
was told, “Can’t you see he is checking on it now?”
Not sure why I needed to get a response with attitude just to ask for an update. I could understand if I asked few times or asked with an attitude my self.
The rest of service was good.

The Way Station Coffee Shop in Newhall is an old-style diner with consistent reasonably priced food and a bottomless cup of good coffee. The portions are generous and the pancakes won’t disappoint! Sometimes it’s difficult to find a place that opens early, Way Station does, keep in mind they shutter on Tuesdays. A local place you must try for breakfast or lunch.

My late husband Steve and I used to visit in early 1980’s we would go for their food which was A+ and the atmosphere which was also an A+ service was excellent too. I have moved from California and reside here in Kansas now I have been thinking about this restaurant and remembering it’s name and now I do. I’m not sure on the price but it was inexpensive.

Looks like a classic diner, well-lived in with posters from the 40s and 50s.
Food was okay. Eggs Benedict was runny and drowned in gravy. Potatoes weren’t crisped at all. One of the rare occasions I didn’t finish breakfast. Grapefruit juice was from a bottle.
Numerous sanitation issues:
-Old toast lying exposed on shelf.
-Counter not sealed – spilled runny egg and couldn’t get it out of the counter crevice
-Plates had hairline cracks – legally they need to be replaced
-At one point they used the head of a dirty mop to clear a spiderweb 2 feet away from where I was eating.
-Ceiling pipes have never been cleaned – caked in dust.
Love diners. Support the last vestiges of Americana.
But never here again.

I was introduced to The Way several years ago and I still love this place. Old school diner that was once an ice cream shop with employees who’ve been there 30-40 years and who still work just as hard with great attitudes. The food is yummy and is priced right. Head on down to The Way Station!
