Naturally I’m going to compare Wawa to Sheetz; this is a very comparable gas station/made-to-order food chain, and it looks like Wawa is claiming their terrotory in Cincy while Sheetz has the rest of Ohio. They have an extensive, well-rounded, and customizable menu. It’s suitable for any mood and you can get anything, 24 hours a day.
On my first visit, I went with a breakfast sandwich and flavored latte. I placed a mobile order 15 mins before I arrived, and as instructed, I checked in on the app once I got there so they could bring it out to me. I sat in the parking lot for 15 minutes before finally going inside and seeing my order was sitting on the shelf all along, getting soggy and lukewarm. Despite that, the sandwich was still pretty enjoyable, so there’s potential for good food here.
My latte was unbearably sweet. I ordered it with an extra shot of espresso and I still didn’t taste a hint of coffee. You can choose how many pumps of syrup you want when you order, so this is correctable for future reference, but the default for my 12 ouncer was 3 pumps and it tasted like 6! Despite the hiccups, I’ll probably give them another try. I see potential to match or even overtake Sheetz, but they’re behind as of now. I’ll update this review if I change my mind.

Super clean gas station with fresh made-to-order snacks and sandwiches. Also the staff is super nice compared to others gas stations. Almost feels like a restaurant inside.
They also have recharger drinks to boost your energy for the day when you are feeling a little slow in the morning! The dragonfruit with blue razz is really good!

Probably the nicest employees of any store in the area. Unfortunately, every time I try their food I end up disappointment. For example, only one blueberry in a blueberry muffin. And today, a chicken Caesar wrap with only a tiny drop of Caesar dressing.

This was my first visit to Wawa. Since it’s close to our house, I thought I would try their sandwiches. My wife wanted the Custom Beef Steak Panini with cheddar cheese sauce and grilled onions for $11.48. I ordered the Honey Hot Italian Hoagie toasted on a Shorti roll for $7.39. I ordered them for pick up ASAP and was notified that they would be ready in 20 to 25 minutes, which seemed unusually long given that it was New Year’s Day and not crowded. Wawa is only five minutes from my house, but I left early so I could check out the store. While I was driving there, I received a text that my food would be ready for pick up 10 minutes early.
I went in the store and saw nothing to tell me if my order was in process or ready for pick up. I also saw nothing to tell me where I could pick it up. I asked an employee about my order and told her that I ordered it online. She didn’t know how to check the status, but fortunately another employee did and told me that it was at the pick-up area. She had to show me where the pick up area was because it’s not visible from the sandwich area nor when you walk in the door. When I got home, the sandwiches were warm but not hot. My wife’s Panini had a small amount of chopped beef and barely any cheese on it and was definitely not worth $11.48. My hoagie tasted very good even though it was barely toasted, it had a reasonable amount of meat and ingredients on it, and I would say that it was probably worth $7.39, especially since the Shorti size was enough for two people or one very hungry person.
I probably won’t go back to Wawa for sandwiches in the future given that it cost $18.87 for two mediocre sandwiches and there are plenty of other choices within another couple more minutes of my house with better sandwiches for similar or less money.

I ordered a chicken sandwich, but the employee didn’t notice my paid order, so it sat on the counter for a long time. When I finally received it, it was cold. The employee argued with me and claimed it was warm, which was not true. Very disappointing service and unprofessional behavior.

I ordered the scrambled eggs and I got a coffee ☕ I mixed my decaf and regular and one of them was cold so I had to dump out half of the coffee and put some hot coffee in the coffee is so so I was expecting more the store was clean and pretty well stocked it was not busy at all when I got there I honestly don’t know if there’s a real eggs and real cheese or not. I don’t remember seeing anywhere to sit inside or outside.

Placed a mobile order for coffee, waited 20 minutes only to find out that no one had bothered to put my coffee on the mobile pickup shelf. Whip was all melted and coffee was not the greatest.
