I stopped by for the first time on my way home from the dog park. The staff is so friendly, and helpful. I bought raw tuna, and lobster raviolis, as well as ordered lunch. They lady behind the counter stored the tuna for me in the cooler and let me store the ravioli in the freezer while I ate lunch outside with my dog. The fried 2 way I got with shrimp and scallops was so good . It was cooked to perfection, I could tell they used fresh oil because there wasn’t any burnt taste at all and everything was crispy and amazing. Highly recommend them.

Went to Wollaston Beach thinking I was going to get a seafood platter. However, the clam shack was closed during my Internet search they said that it was open, but it was closed. I searched Google to find the nearest seafood place and found wave seafood. The fish was fresh. The clams were juicy. The overall platter was very good. It wasn’t as huge as the seafood place at the beach, but it was fresh. The onion rings were delightful. you could sit and eat and have yourself a wine or beer and enjoy your platter. The service was very good and the prices were a bit high $35 for seafood plate but I am willing to pay that for freshness. Overall, I enjoyed my platter and I will go back.

I should have shared this review months ago. I frequently ordered from Waves and really enjoyed it until…. I placed a delivery order for a seafood platter. When it arrived it didn’t come with one single scallop in the order. I called and spoke to a manager named Mark. He flat out didn’t believe me. He said he saw the cook put the scallops in the basket to fry. I told him again that there were no scallops in the order. He then told me to look underneath everything on the plate. Again, for the 3rd time, I told him there was not one single scallop in the order. I even offered to send him a photo showing him my order. Instead of apologizing he made me feel like I was liar. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. He was unprofessional and rude! He told me I could come back for the scallops. I told him I had the order delivered and didn’t live in Weymouth and wasn’t going to drive there. Finally after the back and forth he told me the next time I come in he would comp me a small order of scallops. I wasn’t asking for a refund and I do understand that mistakes can happen. Honestly, after the way he interrogated me, basically making me feel like I was lying I have no desire to give them my business again. He can keep his scallops! Food was good, service/management horrible.

Great service. Good food. But wish the whole belly clams were better. It’s a shame because the flavors were good, just the size was not the same as the clam box. Otherwise, great little stop, with great drinks and relatively more affordable seafood plates.

Went to Waves Seafood for lunch last weekend for the first time. I was impressed by how clean the seating area and behind the counter areas were. My friend and I both ordered the 2 Way Combo Meal with fried whole belly clams and scallops. The scallops were very tender and there was a good amount of fries but I thought there should be more seafood on our plates – we both got 4-5 fried scallops and maybe 7-8 fried clams. Also, I thought the clams were skinny and pretty tough/chewy (not sure if this was due to it being the winter and this is how clams are when it’s cold out or what). The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the cook actually brought our food out to our table, chatted with us for a bit, thanked us for stopping by and brought us some tartar sauce for our meals.
I purchased one of their frozen meals to go – I believe it was a fish (haddock?) casserole that I thought my wife would enjoy. She ate it a few days later but didn’t care much for it – she said there wasn’t a lot of fish in it and what was there appeared to be black. So I won’t be getting any more of them when I go back. They have a very large and well lit display case but there was not a lot of fish products in it. I remember scallops and maybe some crab but I didn’t see any fresh fish, lobster meat, etc. Maybe I’m misremembering but I don’t recall seeing that much.
I will be going back and my wife wants to try it so we’ll be back. I was happy with the meal I had but do wish there had been some more food on the plate. As stated the service was very nice/friendly and the place is very clean. Prices are about what you’d expect to pay for seafood in the area. It’s great to have a nice seafood restaurant in Braintree where you can dine in or do takeout and I hope Waves does well at their location.

My prayers were answered! Thank you Waves for coming to the neighborhood. This has to be one of the cleanest fish markets I have ever been to. It doesn’t smell fishy or like a dirty aquarium.
Ordered 2 fish and chip plates today and was greeted by the friendliest woman. You can tell she is customer service experienced and passionate about Waves.
While waiting for my order I walked around to see what else they offered. It all looked delicious. The filets were perfectly prepared. They had a great selection of prepared meals, flavored butters, seafood salads and slaws.
The fish and chips were amazing. Super light and flaky haddock, not overly breaded and did not look or feel greasy. The fries were well seasoned and crispy. The price vs quality and quantity were right on point.
You can tell that the owners and staff take pride and love what they are doing.
Looking forward to getting some fresh fish to grill at home and on those lazy days try more off their menu.

The service from Kara was personable, professional, and insightful. Her genuine joy and pride for the restaurant shone through every interaction. I also had the pleasure of chatting with Ray, who was utterly charming. Thanks to him, I got to try the Cape Cod oysters, which were unbelievably fresh, plump, and bursting with flavour.
My family ordered a variety of mains, and every dish was clearly cooked with. Great care and love. The seafood was outstanding and you could taste the freshness and quality in every bite. Phenomenal.
A truly wonderful seafood restaurant that you cannot afford to miss out on. Thank you, Waves, for a fantastic food memory I will treasure forever. It was the perfect way to spend my last day in Boston.

The menu is small and specialized. Very simple I loved it! Clam chowder was excellent, fresh hot and delicious. The onion rings where the old fashioned ones with the thin coating but yet the onions were cut thick and it was a treat and a half. We also got a seafood salad roll which was stuffed with wonderful seafood salad and the bun was toasted in buttery perfection. I’m not a big french fry person but the person that was with said that they were hot crispy and delicious. The gentleman at the counter was so polite and sweet. You can tell that he was invested in his job. I went back to the counter to order a clam chowder to go and I said to the girl we really enjoyed that everything was delicious in her reply was…. it better be! I just laughed because I think she meant it. We will be back.

Just wow. This place is amazing. I ordered the clam belly sandwich and some of the seafood chowder. I was worried just the sandwich would not fill me up but was I wrong. There was enough clams to make 3 sandwiches. It was amazing. And the chowder was to die for. I will be back for sure!!!!
