From the outside looking in you wouldn’t know this is a must to experience. It’s nice on the outside but it does a disservice to the food being served. The service is amazing as well. Omg I of course came on Valentines day so I’m not sure if what I ordered was for that special day but that oysters rockerfeller was amazing. That disservice of course of flawless. I love my service Shannon she recommended the pork chops and baby she didn’t lie it’s most definitely amazing. I have to come back for the ribs unfortunately they were sold out so that speaks volumes. But I most definitely have to say i most definitely recommend waves for any night out or special night out. They played to the occasion of Valentines day.

I live in Boise, Idaho but grew up in Harper Woods, MI. I returned for a 50th Reunion Gathering that was held at Waves. Two local classmates selected Waves for our dinner and they could not have made a better choice!!

They said from the minute they met Tom, they knew this was the place. He was so accommodating and gracious-and they didn’t find that type of service at other venues they researched.

Christina and Ervisa were the wait persons for our dinner-which was for 32 loud but fun people! The service was exemplary in every way! They were gracious, accommodating, kind, fun and so darn efficient! These ladies and their support staff contributed to a wonderful evening for all of us.

The food was OUTSTANDING! And it was served very quickly, given the size of our group. They also accommodated me with a plant based meal.

Thank you to Tom, Christina, Ervisa and their entire team! You helped create a cherished memory for all of us!

Waves Grill is undoubtedly the best seafood spot I’ve been, located in St. Claire Shores, Detroit. The freshness of their crab and salmon is unmatched, with other dishes that burst with flavor and are beautifully presented. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, the staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making our experience special. Whether you enjoy signature seafood dishes or a perfectly crafted cocktail, Waves Grill consistently delivers an outstanding dining experience. It’s a must-visit for seafood lovers in the city!

Wow! A chowdown paradise! The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has a bar to relax at. The staff are very professional and polite. Delicious rolls and french onion soup with a little kick. All the meals my family has ordered have been wonderful. Not a single complaint from anyone. Strongly recommend!

It’s been several years since I’ve been to this restaurant. Went on a Sunday afternoon. The place was not crowded at all, and was seated immediately. The booth we sat in had no one else seated around us the entire course of our meal. It was actually great!!

Appetizers were ordered. Mussels made with white wine and garlic, and calamari with some type of tomato garnish sauce. Dipping the freshly made bread into the sauces was so good, taste buds were exploding from its flavor!

I had a grilled chicken salad with strawberries, apples, and cashews with strawberry vinaigrette dressing. The dressing was too salty for me, but then again I frequently limit the amount of my salt intake so it could be normal for other people. Idk.

My guest had a prime rib steak dinner, and ordered it well done. Cutting into into the steak was a little pink, but after a couple minutes, the meat apparently continued to cook and no longer was pink! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that happen!

The food was absolutely scrumptious!

Food is very good along with the service. I had the grouper nuggets, which were very good, and a Rubin sandwich. I’m very particular about my Rubin sandwiches since the best corn beef place in town, Noah’s in Dearborn, closed down. Best place local is New York Deli, but at $17 a sandwich no thanks. A close second is uncle Harry’s.

But overall Waves is an excellent restaurant across a variety of food. Never had a bad meal here. Great mother days specials. Very family atmosphere. A great Saint Clair shores restaurant!

Last night my wife and I went to Waves for the first time. We were craving some crunchy fish and chips, and the restaurant looked inviting from the outside. The service was top-notch. However, the meal had a few issues. The fish pieces looked good and were a decent size—they were nice and crunchy, just like we wanted. But the tartar sauce had a funky taste that didn’t pair well with the fish and ended up ruining it. The beer-battered fish itself was flavorful flat. The fries, though, were awesome. It also came with coleslaw that was pretty bland. Sadly, we won’t be going back, no matter how crunchy the fish is.

The atmosphere was good but no fire sprinklers. I like the Mai Tai. Nice blend of alcohol and fruit. The food was okay. My wife had the seafood paella which she loves. I thought the sausage was a little smokey. This is a large portion.
