My friend said we had to try it and let me tell you he was right! The chicken wings are some of the best I have ever had. The selection was great. The spicy chicken was great with a slow burn. The service was great! Do yourself a favor and come for some great food!

I love the heck out of this place. Food is great. I have yet to have bad service or food here. Wings are so big and crispy and hot off the stove. Staff are great, not too talkative, but always respectful and have a smile. Atmosphere is great too. The rice bowls are outstanding too. You will be taking food home if you order wings and a rice bowl. K-pop music that’s not loud playing in the background. The Boba is awesome too. This is a must stop by anyone who likes wings. I drove 20 miles and this is my 4th visit in the last 4 months. It’s worth the money. Thanks CM Chicken. Please open one in Southern WI.

I had a really great experience for my first time.
I went with the Hot Snow Onion dish. It is Korean style fried chicken with their snow sauce and sliced onion. The chicken was incredibly crispy and juicy. A fantastic bite with the sauce and onion mixed in.
The dish came with alot of chicken so
The green “hot” sauce had good flavor but was on the mild side for me. They brought out a different sauce for me no problem. That helped bring everything together.
I ordered some rice to go and plan on eating it for dinner at the hotel.
Overall a wonderful meal and will be back if I am ever in town.

The place was really welcoming and the staff was amazing and nice. The food was really good, the chicken tender and whole chicken were so juicy and crunchy, everything I had was delicious and the drinks were amazing. I believe it’s the owner he was so sweet giving us ice cream and a bag of chips for our road trips back home. Will be back for sure when we are in the area again.

I ordered the honey garlic chicken tenders, regular fries and the brown sugar milk tea. The tenders were 3/4 of a pound… Which is 10 very large tenders. I could only eat three. They were delicious. The french fries were okay. They have the crispy texture on the outside (best I can compare is like Burger King fries) and I just don’t like that type of fry. The tea was good but soooo sweet it was like drinking straight melted brown sugar. I couldn’t drink more than a 1/4 of it and I got a stomach ache from it being too sweet. Which is unfortunate because it’s a $9 drink. The customer service was so nice, I had never tried kimchi before so they gave me a free sample. I will definitely go back. The restaurant was clean and the service was awesome!

CM Chicken Waukegan, without a doubt, is an outstanding and creative Korean restaurant in the Waukegan area with a unique vibe and exceptional food. The restaurant is a relatively new location, having opened only recently in 2025, but its popularity is soaring, with a plethora of 5-star reviews. CM Chicken Waukegan has an enjoyable and cool decor with a very casual and fun atmosphere. The K-pop music and references definitely elevate the experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make your experience at the restaurant the best it can be, which was a breath of fresh air. The restaurant has a wide range of Korean cuisine, including wings, bulgogi, and even fried gizzard. (All of which were fresh, hot, and tasty). Wait times were almost zero, and the food was very affordable, taking into account the generous portion sizes. You will leave with a to-go container, especially because of how good the food is. I’m normally not a big fan of wings, but the ones at this restaurant were especially juicy, crispy, and the spices/sauces were exquisite. I wanted to make this review to share my experience, and I 100% recommend going here if you’re in Waukegan or in the Chicago suburbs and need a fun and tasty place to eat.
