Awesome food. Babs was great and took care of us. Bbq was chopped and served with a unique sauce. French fries were better than most. Excellent service. Stand in line to order and they bring the food to you.

It was delicious. I got a dozen wings with french fries for a change. It came with three hush puppies and ranch sauce for dipping. Yumm Yummmmm and Yummmmmmmmm.!!!!!!!!. Consistently good every visit here- never any bad days…which is great! Because when eating out, you have to pay every time.right?????….Could not have been any better!

Never had or seen bbq hash made out off frozen hamburger patties,that tasted more like hot dog chili still don’t know what the little black things are.No one can beat Wards BBQ in Sumter S.C.

We were traveling through today and wanted to find a place off the beaten path. Watford’s was perfect. Not sure where to start… every one was super friendly. Made us feel right at home. The place was full of locals. Who ever was at the register was helpful with a good sense of humor. No frills, but it was clean. The food….. it was all so good. We ended up leaving wit 4 bottles of sauce. The pork was tender but not greasy. Sides were all good. But honestly my favorite was the coleslaw. We just had a great time. Good folks, good food!

The food was mostly really good. Especially liked the ginger flavored sweet potato souffle and the honey mustard with horseradish. As someone else mentioned, the BBQ sauce has way too vinegar and not enough mustard. Makes for a very watery ‘sauce’ that would otherwise be a great Southern Mustard BBQ sauce. Bottle says ” shake well” but I’d avoid that. Keep in mind that the staff will smoke out of the open back door off of the kitchen area and you will smell it while eating. If this will be a problem, look elsewhere.

I’ve been eating there for the last 20 years.. It has always been wonderful the best I’ve ever eaten. But.. for some reason in the last few months the taste has changed. The chicken was burned and the rice was singed and the hush puppies were dark, hard and only tasted of burnt oil. The best thing I had at the table was my diet Pepsi… My husband got the barbecue sandwich and he said it was o.k…Just OK ,that has never been a factor at Watford’s…. It has always been the BEST! He couldn’t even eat the hush puppies that he so loves… What happened??? I’ve seen the advertisement for help needed at Watford’s and I don’t recognize any of the young girls in there… Did the cooks quit? I hope they get things under control fast before it gets out of hand… I’ve eaten there my last….. Horrible food!!
