Comfy cozy spot settled away near moose brooke state park.

Delicious food and a local crowd.

Hands down the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Served over grilled corn bread with hash.

If you’re gonna eat here be cautious, all that good food is gonna out you to sleep!

They have a gift shop with some nice goodies inside too while you wait, they have a selection of really nice hot sauces I’d recommend the habenero.

We came across this place by accident while driving to our next stop, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was very cosy, the staff were attentive. I ordered the Fruity Greek pancakes – they were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. They also have a lovely gift shop, their maple syrup is priced at least 30% cheaper than elsewhere in the area.

My family and I ate here before we went to Santa’s Village. It’s a nice family-friendly restaurant that offers breakfast and lunch. The waitress was friendly and our food was hot and fresh. I will definitely visit again. The gift shop is nice and offers many unique gifts.

Best breakfast I’ve had in the White Mountains. I will be back to this place with my family anytime we may find ourselves in the area. A plus is that it’s ~10 minutes to Santa’s Village. However, I was sad that they are closed on Wednesdays because that was the day I initially wanted to go. Lucky for me, we were able to go back the next day and enjoy a hearty breakfast with generous portions. And this place uses real Maple syrup without charging you $2+ for it. I want to try every single thing on their menu. The pancakes are the size of a large plate. Go to this place for a great value for your money and scrumptious food.

Update:
We finally got back here after over four years, and I don’t get some of the bad reviews because of the doorbell that goes off. The food is still delicious and still reasonably priced. They still offer bottomless coffee for $2! And the maple syrup is still included. Portions are still generous. I also tried the Boston Cream pancake, and it’s just like having a Boston Cream Pie, so yummy and with a bunch of cream filling.

Waited over a hour to get a table there are three tables that need to be cleaned of one open people still waiting took 10 min for us to get a menu they only have two people taken orders. From what I see the food is cheap and good but the owner needs to get help or get her employees to work will not ever come back to this crap show people in front of us still waiting on a menu it’s been 20 minutes.

Some of the best places are those off the beaten path. The “hole in the wall” as people say. But this was anything but that! I immensely enjoyed my experience at the Waterwheel. Cute restaurant with a rustic and homey feel. Very warm and welcoming. The staff is SUPER nice and you can tell they love what they do. You get A LOT of bang for your buck here with the menu – I couldn’t even eat all of my food. The portions are huge so keep that in mine. Fresh shell eggs, perfectly seasoned home fries, and pancakes made to perfection. It put me into a food coma after #IYKYK. If you’re visiting Northern NH this is definitely a place you want to visit and check out. I will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone who asks.

Had lunch at the Waterwheel. It was near closing time, but we were treated like honored guests. The Rubin was outstanding, even the the presentation on the plate was noteworthy.
Great staff, super clean and organized.
