Newly renovated and looks great inside! Service was very slow and not attentive. Waitresses did not check on you, seemed unexperienced. Had to ask and wait like 15 minutes even for the bill. They were not busy. Food was good.

I decided to visit Waters edge via flying my seaplane to Lake Minnewaska. I beached my Aircraft at the restaurant and went in for a delicious meal. The service was prompt and efficient, and the food was excellent. I was particularly pleased with the family atmosphere. There were many families with young children partaking in the food and pleasant atmosphere.

Dining party of two: had excellent steak special with baked potato, and a seafood platter with grilled walleye, grilled shrimp, and scallops (with baked potato). Each dinner comes with trip to salad bar. Grilled fish was very tasty, shrimp and scallops also well-prepared. Salad bar was extensive, but a bit picked over by the time we arrived (7pm). Service was very attentive, but one server was not really able to keep up with taking care of customers and make sure salad bar stays filled. Menu says there is a reasonable split charge, so will return again to try the seafood platter again split between two people.

The food came out hot and fresh, and the waitress was absolutely friendly and professional. She was unsure about a menu item but was honest and upfront. She checked in and made sure we were enjoying our food.
The duck bacon wontons are amazing, tasted like home made cream cheese with corn and peppers.
The smash burger was perfectly done with a beautiful crisp edge.
The cod was fresh and light.
The mango habanero sauce, for those looking for spicier dishes, is a sweet and welcome change to the average Tabasco.
All while enjoying a beautiful view of Lake Minnewaska.

While we waited for a table for 20 minutes I tried unsuccessfully to get a couple of beers. The bartender proceeded to wash glasses and criticize me for standing in the waitress section. (I had moved there because she wouldn’t take my order from between the other customers that were seated at the bar). All I wanted was two drafts and had cash in hand. She was extremely rude. Once we were seated, our waitress was wonderful and the food was okay. The prime rib was fatty. The augratin potatos were not done and cold in the center.

This place is so hit or miss if it’s good. Just called again for a food pick up and was told no call back in twenty minutes. If it’s good, they’re decent other times just poor management for something. I have to drop it down to a one star. When I’ve gone in there to eat still 5050. Sometimes the servers on point. Sometimes it takes forever to get your food. Nice enough staff, but there is no consistency.

Watched a server braid her hair over the salad bar in front of the mirrors. This went on for 5 minutes. Yuck. Food was horrendous. Burnt bun, greasy cold fries and the beer was stale.

Beautiful view of lake Minnewaska from the patio or dining area. Nice option to boat to if you’re on the lake and want to tie your boat up to their dock and grab some food and a cold drink!

Never had a “manager” Kaylee be so rude to a customer. We had free drink tickets and tried to have them taken off our tab but she insisted we had more beer on our tab than we actually did. We asked our waitress to take off the free tokens and she went and got Kaylee first thing out of her mouth when she got to our table was “I don’t like the attitude” she also insisted we had 1 extra beer that we didn’t. She left came back and told us “I don’t like your attitude and we will comp your bill but you’re not welcome back”. She proceeded to rip up our ticket. Never been treated so rudely. What happened to the customer is always right. They don’t have to worry we won’t be back. Starbuck is a small town word will be spread.
