We had a wonderful experience hosting our rehearsal dinner at Waters Edge. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly and exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect and fun setting for such a special evening with our closest family and friends.
The servers were incredibly respectful, attentive, and even brought a great sense of humor to the night, which made the atmosphere feel relaxed and fun. Service timing was excellent — every order, including drinks, was delivered promptly and accurately. No one was left waiting, and everything flowed seamlessly throughout the evening.
I would absolutely recommend Waters Edge to anyone looking for a beautiful and well-managed venue for a special event.

Was craving seafood for my birthday weekend, and couldn’t find decent parking downtown, so headed out to Shem Creek. I was not disappointed. The service and food were top notch. The view of the busy creek was amazing. I for sure will return.

Delicious food and a splendid view. My nephew wanted steak. It wasn’t on the lunch menu but it was offered for dinner. The chef made it for him anyway. Awesome service. The she crab soup had a different spin with the chef adding peppers. It was VERY good.

As a local, I was excited to bring my parents, who were visiting from out of town, to The Water’s Edge for the first time—and it did not disappoint. Despite living nearby, this was our first visit, and it was a fantastic introduction to the restaurant. The views of the river and boardwalk are beautiful and create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that truly reflects the local charm.
The customer service was exceptional throughout the evening—friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was outstanding and a great value. We began with the chilled crab dip and East Coast oysters, both fresh and flavorful. For our main courses, I ordered the fish and chips, my mom enjoyed the shrimp scampi, and my dad chose the sesame-seared tuna. Every dish was well-prepared, delicious, and thoughtfully presented.
Between the scenic setting, excellent service, and quality food, The Water’s Edge delivered a memorable dining experience. It was the perfect place to showcase a local favorite to out-of-town guests, and we will definitely be returning.

This was the absolute best dining we experienced in Charleston while we were there. The only complaint i could have was the parking. Parking area was way too small and we checked out way before the 3 hr limit and was still being charged for parking when not even there.

What a great place this is and they have great seating options. We went on a Friday evening after making reservations earlier in the day. The hostesses were very professional, even though being approached from all sides they remained calm and gracious.
Our food was amazing, we weren’t rush at all and enjoyed our evening thoroughly. Even ordered some desserts.

This used to be one of my favorite places and I had a problem with the parking which they had to address. Now you can park free and give them you license plate so all you have to do is have them put in their big database. Easy. The food was outstanding. Our waitress was lovely and this is back to being one of my favorite places

This place was great, we were visiting some friends and they took us here, the boom boom shrimp and the chipotle salmon pasta were delicious as well as other menu items that my friends got! The costumer service was great, we had a table by the window and they views were also amazing. Overall I love the experience and will definitely be back!

We came from Florida to celebrate our wedding anniversary and see Charleston, the city is magnificent by the way, I envy the locals with white envy. We chose the restaurant carefully and were not mistaken. Great, delicious, wonderful, delicious food! We ordered oysters, shrimp, garlic, greens and linguine pasta for my husband and grilled BBQ salmon with red rice, grilled asparagus and smoky BBQ sauce for me. To say that it is delicious is to say nothing, it is magnificent! I have not eaten properly cooked asparagus for a long time, not raw and not overcooked, the salmon is amazingly tasty, the sauce was chosen correctly. Liberty Cabernet wine complemented our celebration. Server Bryan was kind and unobtrusive. Thank you, Bryan, this is a review from a Russian woman. There is live music downstairs, where we happily continued our evening. Once again, we thank the restaurant staff for everything you do for visitors, you made our evening. Special thanks to the chef! We highly recommend visiting the restaurant.
