One of the best old fashion I’ve ever had. Got lamb shank for dinner it was fantastic!! I have not been to many hotels with good restaurants but this place was great and my server was so kind.

After sitting down for 10+ mins, I had to get up and order my food at the bar. People next to me told me they come to the table but I’m yet to see them walk near me. For a $30 lunch, I would hope to get somewhat better service.
This could be because the bar needs more staff, as there was only one person working. Management needs to hire someone else, or have management assist during busy times.
Otherwise, the food is okay. Fries were a bit undercooked and over-salted. A bit pricey, but not so much more it’s worth the drive to another sit down restaurant. Good portion sizes.

Another 5 stars experience while staying at the Embassy Suites PDX. What a rarity to encounter genuinely friendly and welcoming service staff. Andy immediately greeted me as he saw I was seeking the restaurant and appeared lost coming from the cruise reception. What a great sense of humor. Sam and Harris were both exceptionally cordial and professional as well, and as I enjoyed my meal, I thoroughly
relished listening and watching them engage the patrons who appreciated their attention to detail and their experience at this restaurant, which is like a classy outdoor bistro surrounded by meandering streams from the lobby’s large waterfall.

Hidden gem. First off we were greeted by Kendra, probably one of the best and nicest servers I have ever encountered. The appetizers, main courses, and deserts were all made to perfection. There was nothing we could complain about. I think this meal was about as perfect as possible. The chef preparing the food was incredible. Noteworthy drink Pina colada margarita, the salmon and halibut cooked to perfection. Fish and chips were great. If you are looking for a delicious meal with friendly staff in a beautiful setting. Stop here and eat. Complimentary parking when dining here. Check in with the front desk.

We were in Portland for few days and we had dinner @Water bar & Grill. It’s a restaurant within Embassy Suites. We were only there for dinner. Friendly and professional staff. Great service. The location is ideal, with lots to do. Portland international airport is less than a mile and there’s a vast number of restaurants and hotels in this area. The food was great and a bit pricey. We had the lobster Mac n cheese , which was delicious. The chunks of lobster could have been cut smaller for my taste but It was good. Parking was for a fee, indicated by the mins. Since we’re not planning to be there long, we parked near by instead. Unsure if that’s different for their guests. The restaurant area was beautiful with a nice view of water display.

You wouldn’t necessarily expect to find a decent meal in your everyday hotel lobby, but you’d be wrong with Waters Bar and Grill. An unexpected Thanksgiving on the fly found us here (one of the few places still open and accepting customers), and we were pleasantly surprised. The de rigeur Thanksgiving dinner was what you’d expect, albeit with portions generous enough to feed at least two or three people. I opted for the Caesar salad with grilled salmon, and while a tad on the salty side, it did not disappoint. Again, generous portions. What sets Waters aside is the cheery and attentive staff — imagine: a restaurant where people seem to be enjoying their jobs. The “can-do” spirit will bring us back.

My husband and I were reluctant to try another hotel restaurant, but low and behold 8:40pm rolled around and we decided to give it a shot. The service was top notch, friendly, on point, and fabulous. We ordered the crab cake & the salmon salad, both were phenomenal and reasonably priced. If your in the PDX area or staying at the embassy suites, we highly recommend it.

Kendra was our waitress, we came for my bday dinner, Kendra was so attentive and made sure we liked everything, and then gave me a free dessert for my bday. The price of the rib eye was a bit more than I’m used to but it’s ok it was really good and so was the potato’s and asparagus.
