I ordered a Reuben sandwich with fries. The corned beef was overly salty, and the fried calamari was some of the worst I’ve had. It was oddly mixed with fried pepperoncinis, which completely ruined the dish. On the positive side, we all agreed the French fries were very good—crispy and well done.
My wife ordered the burger of the week, a mushroom Swiss burger with caramelized onions. She said it was pretty good and it looked good as well. However, it was listed on the menu for $19 and we were charged $24. When we pointed this out, staff admitted it was a menu mistake because “the wrong person made the menu,” but said they couldn’t adjust the bill. We were told the only way to fix it was to go find Tim, the hotel manager, at the front desk and complain to him.
There’s a scavenger hunt at the resort for kids, which is fun—but I didn’t realize I’d need to go on one myself just to get a fair food bill.
My kids had mac and cheese and chicken fingers, which were fine.
Mistakes happen. Most restaurants understand that and try to make it right on the spot, which goes a long way. Unfortunately, refusing to correct an admitted mistake goes a long way in the wrong direction. This place really needs better communication and accountability.
Service could have been better. There was miscommunication between the staff, which caused issues with our payment, and our food took a while to come out. Overall, an average experience with hits, but mostly misses.
Menu is severely lacking and uninspired. Burgers were dripping with so much grease that it completely soaked through two napkins. Parm fries were good but there were no “herbs” as described on the menu, and definitely not worth the dollar upcharge. Not many options for someone who might be a more picky eater or just want something basic.
Bartender was great though, we stopped by later and had a few drinks since we had originally wanted to stay for a bit but again were not even asked if we wanted anything else when dining.
It comes with Cod or Walleye, fried or broiled. It also comes with potato pancake, regular fries, or sweet potato fries. As well as coleslaw and hush puppies. Everything named above was all you can eat. And you can change your selection at each plate. It came out fresh from the fryer and was quite delicious.
The view was beautiful, and the service was prompt.
