My brother in law was staying with us for a final visit with his dying brother. We wanted to take him out somewhere cozy with an inviting atmosphere and great food. It has been a few years since we visited here, so I thought it would be a good choice. I was right. We came in without reservations (you should make reservations) at 7:30 pm on a Wednesday night. Although the kitchen was about to close, they took us in. Debbie was our server and she was superb the entire evening. She made us feel at home and her recommendations were excellent. We had the seafoos stuffed mushrooms and cheese curds for appetizers..perfect! I had the steak night special with garlic potatoes and it was so good! Jane had a walleye plate and raved about it. John had the ribeye with a side of mushrooms. It was HUGE and delicious. He ended up bringing some home. Of course, don’t forget to leave room for the caramel apple pie and a scoop of ice cream. Debbie was the real topping on the evening. So professional and friendly. We won’t be long to return.

It was our first time there. The service was great & we loved the view of the lake. My dad said it was the best Walleye dinner he’s ever had. The nachos were fantastic & the Walleye fingers were cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back.

On my two (2) recent trips here, in the summer of 2024, I experienced a restaurant that does some things well, and others, not so much. I am being generous and reasonable with a four (4) star rating.
The atmosphere of the place is perhaps one of its strong suits, with wood beams and wood appointments comprising the interior, and stained glass too. The views of the lake are delightful also.
The service was personable and reasonably attentive, and overall was good, even if it is on the brusque side, and more like what one would see at a diner. In one occasion, my request for a substitution of a side item in exchange for an upcharge was rejected by the server. On another occasion, the server couldn’t tell me what kind of marinade or sauce they sautee or broil the perch with.
So, I didn’t order the more expensive perch. Instead, I ordered a $17 half portion of pork back ribs. And let me tell you, they were five diminutive ribs from the small side of a slab. The smallest rib was maybe 2.5 inches long (see my uploaded photos of the rib bones). The redskin mashed potatoes were decent, with a noticeable note of garlic salt, which I didn’t mind, though I would have preferred fresh garlic, or at least garlic from a jar.
On a previous visit, I had a corned beef reuben sandwich on marble rye, and the meat had a decent pile/portion. And I didn’t think I could find a decent sandwich like that in these parts.
I would consider returning again, but will probably stick with some kind of sandwich, or a burger. I’m really not sure what kind of steak or lobster I could find here.

The food came out fresh and hot. The drinks came cold and strong. There is some good variety in the menu including several classic Minnesota dishes.

It’s a very nice place, has a nice patio and a great view of the lake. The biggest problem I had on my visit was the service. Stopped for dinner with a group of 9 while out for a motorcycle ride. It was not very busy so I expected our food to come out fairly quickly after we ordered but it took nearly half an hour. I was the first to order and ordered a chicken Caesar salad, when our food finally did come my salad was the last to arrive and was about 5 minutes after everyone else’s food came. I was very disappointed in the amount of time it took and the quality of the salad, it was an $11.99 salad and had maybe a quarter of a chicken breast and barely any dressing. It really looked more like a side salad than a meal. The others I was with were also wondering what took so long for a salad and why it was such a small portion but they did seem to enjoy the food they ordered.
I will probably not plan on going here again, but will not reject it if others I am with want to, I’ll just try something different and hope service is better.

We ate at your restaurant this past Sunday night, August 10th and had a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious and our waitress very friendly. Loved the atmosphere as well. We will go back for sure! Jennifer

Great restaurant near South Haven. It reminds me of the classic supper clubs. Great food. If you are looking for a Steak and Lobster or a little Surf N Turf. Cajun Chicken Pasta or just a good salad and breadstick. This is a wonderful place to Dine. There is also a Bar attached, but the Diner hall is separated and quiet. Check them out.

Really great service and a gorgeous view! I took one star away for the food. I had shrimp that seemed it was fried a bit too long. It was mostly crunch without much flavor. Others in my group thought their food was good.

Have dined here several times and usually have decent service and food. Tonight my family had dinner here, I ordered a King Prime Rib (16oz on the menu). What I got was about 10oz of fat and gristle and 6oz of edible meat. When the waitress stopped by to ask how everything looked so far I said to be honest my cut is mostly fat and gristle and the edible meat portion was less than a petite cut. She just shrugged and said well at least it was prepared the way you ordered and walked away, no offer to resolve the issue or anything. I took a picture after I had cut off all of the fat and gristle showing what I’m talking about, only had one bite of meat at this point. $32.00 for this cut with no resolve offered, what a joke! Restaurants and people that work there just don’t care anymore at all! On the plus side the view of the lake was beautiful. Waterfront, do better with your customer service, have some pride!

Although the food was good, the waitress seated us in one of the 6 booths (all booths were empty). We quickly discovered the booth was built too small with not enough room between the table and back of the seat. It would be ok for children but not adults. We moved to a window table and were rudely told by another staff member that it was reserved for a party of 6. The staff member offered no solution and left as abruptly as she arrived. We found another table on our own and were waited on. No one asked why we left the booth. I suspect they know they are inadequate but the owners probably refuse to rectify the situation. As we ate, another party left a table at the window leaving two empty. The party of 5, not 6 arrived eventually. Poor management of tables and a simple reserved sign would have eliminated confusion. Sad, because we have eaten there before without complaints.
