First time here. Found it on the Infatuation. We were not disappointed. This is a neighborhood Japanese restaurant run by Japanese people. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The service was great. Plain decor, but pleasant atmosphere. I had a sashimi bento box. A good portion of fresh sashimi for lunch along with salad, miso soup, spring roll, burdock. $24.50. My wife had two rolls. Very happy with everything. Will go back.

We came for an late lunch. The food is amazing as well as the services. I would give a 6-star if I can. When are sat down, the lunch menu was still served. As soon as I saw “Croquette” is served, I know this is an authentic Japanese restaurant. This is one item that I only typically see in a Japanese-owned Japanese restaurant. The waitress confirmed it for us. She is so sweet and friendly. After my wife placed her order, she actually suggested a different way to order the same set and we loved it! The way the sushi rice was prepared is so authentic, the Croquette was delicious! I ordered Nabeyaki Udon noodle, the best I ever had. The experience brought our memory back to a Japanese restaurant in Victoria Island Canada, one of the best we visited. The item prices also surprised us, the could be more expansive for sure. A bottle of Sapporo Beer was only $4, I will definitely come back!

Disappointing Experience
I was disappointed with my recent order from the curry outpost connected to the restaurant. I paid $16 for the chicken cutlet curry and was shocked by the portion size—it filled only half of the container. In addition, the chicken wasn’t even a chicken cutlet, which was a big letdown. A warning to others to check the order before going home…

We dined in for dinner and had an amazing meal. The salmon sashimi and spicy ikura rice bowl was so fresh the fish melted in my mouth and my partner loved the tonkotsu ramen! Angelo was a great server and everyone working was very kind as well. Can’t believe we haven’t been here before, but we’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been here three times now and it’s becoming my go-to when I’m craving sushi and I’m in the area. The prices are reasonable especially considering the other sushi restaurants in the vicinity. Whether it’s a date or you’re stopping by for a bite by yourself, the intimate setting makes for a good meal.

Absolutely delicious and fresh food! Loved every bite. Serene and soft music in the background. Will definitely return.

The tempura vegetables are the best!! Coming in hot and crispy on the outside with high quality veggies on the inside. Also enjoyed the tonkusu ramen which had a slices of very well flavored pork and a tasty broth. The only thing I wish they had was a jammy egg instead of regular hard boiled. Service was terrific!

Food was pretty good. Service was extremely slow which would not have mattered so much, but we were two of three people in the restaurant. Empty bowls sat in front of me for over 45 minutes even though waiter came back several times to take another order for our food, bring that order, and take my friend’s food away (while again, my clearly finished bowls stayed in front of me). Food was tasty and the set meals are good price. Service was just quite poor which was a shame. I don’t not recommend Wasan, but I don’t think I’ll be back.

I love these guys. Was supposed to post this a while ago but I got time now. We originally were in the area just in passing and stumbled upon it. I must say the owner and staff are very friendly, food is really tasty and flavorful. Will definitely be stopping by again. Would recommend to others. We ordered a bit of everything and it didn’t disappoint.
