The food at Wasabi is consistently good. The service is also good. And the prices are quite reasonable. The atmosphere inside is good too, if you want to eat in. I’ve tried several different items here and have been very pleased. The spicy mango shrimp is especially good. I will say that the pad Thai, although decent, could use some improvement. But, then again, this isn’t a Thai restaurant. As far as sushi, they have a nice variety here, so something for everyone.

They have some of the freshest fish in buffalo. The Scottish salmon is my favorite -it’s buttery and full of flavor. My go to Japanese/sushi spot in the area.

I normally go to the elmwood location, but this night I decided to come here. This location is bigger than elmwoods restaurant, so if you want to dine in come here. As always I enjoy the sushi from wasabi. I feel they have the best sushi in Buffalo. The prices is on the higher side, but every cent is worth it

The hostess and (especially) our waiter were both SUPER nice even though the whole place was kind of frantic as their fresh fish delivery had come in very late that day. It had been a few years since I’d been there, and the food was just as awesome as I’d remembered. Avocado and tofu salad is a favorite, and I believe it’s the best sushi you can get aside from much more expensive restaurants. The great and personable service is the topper… Very Recommended!

First time trying this location (used to go to the one on Elmwood but they don’t have dine in anymore) and the quality is the same. Fish is very fresh and their sushi tastes great, rice is cooked properly and the sashimi is very generous. Me and my husband ordered the Titanic and the Love Boat, and we definitely underestimated the size of them, we usually eat a lot and we couldn’t finish our dishes. The only reason I won’t give 5 stars is because I think their menu is a bit cliche, there aren’t many creative options (most items you can find in any other sushi restaurants) and they were out of all beers the day we went. Other than that this is one of the best in town for sure.

Go someplace else. Longest “20 minutes” of my life! Waited well over an hour and a half with the girl at the host stand kept telling us a time (15 to 20 minutes) and when we would check back with her in the time she said, she would spout the same answer (15 to 20 minutes.) It’s was so disrespectful, please, if there is going to be a long wait time, try and be truthful with what you are saying to people. If you have no idea, give a time that you know it will be longer than and apologize for the wait time. “I’m not exactly sure how long it will take, we are really busy right now, I would expect longer than 30 minutes.” Don’t give a dishonest two-faced answered just to keep us waiting. It made us feel like we were only wallets walking in just to pay them. No regard for the feelings of the customer. On top of all that, there was a foul odor in the air and the tiny front of the restaurant was crowded because there was no appropriate waiting area. Just a bunch of strangers crowded in the front with the wait staff frequently pushing through just to get by. I would never recommend this place, even to the worst people in the world. It would probably be fast to construct your own hand reel and pull fish out of the Niagara and fillet them yourself. At least that way you don’t have the staff flat out lying to you just to you just keep your business out of desperation.
