A local gem! We went for the first time today and had an amazing experience, even with a large party (6 adults, 3 kids). Our server, Peter, went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. The sushi is fantastic and the entrees were great, as well. I personally had the hibachi shrimp and even the lunch portion was plentiful. One of the owners stopped by a handful of times, to ensure everything was going well. We will be back and frequently!

First time trying this place. Have been wanting to for a while and will definitely be back! Had the crispy bowl and the Auburn roll was probably some of the best sushi I have ever had! Looking forward to trying more from their menu. They got very busy soon after we got there but service was great. Glad to see they are doing well and will hopefully be around a long time in Alabaster.

Service was great, everyone was help and attentive. A none server took my drink order, server made sure I had refills and even the guy making sushi and ramen bowls checked to see if everything was good. Customer service is S+.
Food was also really good. Shrimp Shumai was great. Egg rolls were good. Mizu Chicken Ramen was good and had good flavor but once I added salt and pepper it took it to another level. Really good ramen bowl.
Definitely will return.

I really enjoyed my experience. The service was top notch, food was excellent. Loved the ambiance! It was a perfect date night! We will definitely be back. ❤️
Update: loved it so much we came back the very next day and made the same order ToGo.
Note: protein portions for takeout are smaller.

What a great find. Local family owned place. Dinner was amazing. Coppola Red Wine, House Salad and Hibachi Chicken. But the best was the Ahi Tuna Tacos.. try them… delish! Great Customer service. super attentive.

I don’t know why it took us so long to try this place out, but it did NOT DISAPPOINT! Peter was our server and he was hands down, one of the best we have ever had, at a restaurant! He was so kind and personable! My children immediately said “we need to go back and see Peter again!” Haha one of the owners came by multiple times to talk with us and check in, also so very kind! Surprised my kids with Japanese soda and now it’s must have when we go! Haha
The food was great and the sushi was AMAZING! Baymeadow is a favorite for sure!
Their hibachi chicken and ramen bowls are great!
If you want a great food with the most kind people, you want to come here 🙂

We’ve been twice and loved both experiences. The food is great! They’re offering 30% off on dining in from 3pm-6pm during the week. I highly recommend you giving them a try if you love Sushi.

I have many things to say about this place. The potential is definitely there. At noon, only two other tables had customers. The staff stood around and watched us, English not so good.
The place was decorated beautifully and my sushi was amazing. They still don’t have alcohol or a liquor license. Which is fine for lunch but at night, I would have needed sake
They made fun of me. I told them I was taking pics for a Google review and the staff told me they would charge $5 for photographs.
When I asked for a fortune cookie, the waiter and the not-so-good-English cashier made fun of me. They said, “This is not a Chinese restaurant. We don’t give out fortune cookies.” Call me delulu, but I’ve been to many hibachi places like Mizu and they give out fortune cookies after a meal, even if you order Japanese food.
I was rather disappointed for being the made fun of American girl who adores Asian food. How can I celebrate a culture’s cuisine if they made fun of me at every turn? I’m half Italian, and if I owned an Italian restaurant, there’s NO WAY IN HELL I would make fun of my customers who aren’t Italian. This is not to be tolerated.
Did I mention they only had two other tables with customers at noon?!
