Best sushi ever!!! We love the ambiance and Katsu and Jing. Whatever Katsu recommends I always get and it gives me new favorites! Today they didn’t have mackerel and Katsu recommended the fresh super white tuna it was chilled so nicely. Jing recommended the lobster roll. Merciful heavens! Sooooo good!!!

Pulling up to this place gave us a little hesitation since the parking lot and shopping center look a bit rough but don’t judge the book by the cover. Service was great when we walked in we were immediately welcomed. The atmosphere feels nice and cozy with a home like feel. It was clean and nice. The food was great and fresh! We ordered a little bit of everything to try and were blown away by the flavors. They brought it out quickly and kept making sure we were enjoying everything. Definitely a nice local place to try and we will definitely be back when in Spartenburg.

I absolutely love it here. It is my favorite mom and pop sushi spot and it’s as authentic as one can get here. I will never go back to the sushi spots in downtown and think it’s great sushi when I’ve had the sushi here. The owners are so nice and welcoming! I love listening to the chef give us a little background about the food and making us laugh. If you’ve had a bad day, I suggest you sit at the sushi bar and listen to him. You’ll leave this place with a full belly, learned new things and a have a smile on your face! 10/10!

This is by far the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to! Do not let the outside fool you everything was extremely fresh and was prepared to perfection! To get the full experience you must sit at the bar the sushi chef was so kind and made the overall experience a 10/10!

Hands down, the BEST sushi restaurant in S.C.! The fish is so fresh, and the homemade sauces are amazing! When I raved about my newfound delicious super white tuna, he suggested I try the blue fin belly! What a delightful treat it was! Overlapping shredded beets, it looked and tasted like a thin slice of tender beef! I am beyond impressed by their service, the food, and hospitality! I am only dining here for my sushi cravings! The Wasabi shumai was juicy and tender, the Kyoto chicken was delicate, crunchy, and sweet! The dragon roll is a skillful masterpiece of a presentation and the best one I have had the privilege of enjoying! Stop in, try it, you’ll not regret it!!

You know that dingy looking restaurant you always see and think hole in the wall? Yeah, you need to go to this one. Mrs. Jean greets everyone like family and never forgets you no matter how long it’s been. You walk in to a warm, quiet atmosphere with tradition- seriously you can feel the customs from the servers and the chefs- and the main chef, the artist and owner Katsu. If you don’t know what you want, he does. He will make you a plate of art, even just one piece for you to try.

The menu is very simple, easy to understand, and there is a board with specials you can try. I’ve had jellyfish, baby squid with instructions on how to eat it. Not into raw fish? No problem, they have cooked sushi and your everyday Japanese menu. Desserts are huge and burst with flavor.

Kids are more than welcome, given training chop sticks and and if you’re at the bar Katsu will put on a demonstration for your child or you if your interested.

Want a drink? They have Saki of all kinds hot it cold. I got hot plum, it was delicious. We also got the sample tower of cold Saki, my husband loved every flavor.

If you’re curious about sushi, Wasabi’s got you. I promise!

Cannot recommend Wasabi enough! My husband and I sat at the sushi bar. The service was amazing and we were able to get recommendations based on what we enjoy. Not only was the sushi exceptional, the service was also top notch. Overall a great sushi experience. Highly recommend the Scottish salmon belly and finishing with the “dessert” eel hand roll!

We love the food here! The grilled hamachi collar and the sexy rolls are the best! The ingredients and food are of very high quality and they are very authentic and fresh. Jing was so sweet and make sure we had a good service. The owner is a couple and they told us that they have been in business over 20 years. Overall it was a very good dining experience!
