Went in on a Friday night with ten people. Waited forty minutes for DRINKS. Waited thirty more minutes to be served any kind of food. Most of us ordered hibachi dinners but sushi and food from the kitchen were also ordered. Everything from the kitchen came out AFTER our entire hibachi meal was cooked. We got our own boxes & refills. The only good thing I have to say about this place is the hibachi chef was amazing. The food was good but man the service just couldn’t make up for it. I’m not sure how this place stays in business.

We enjoyed our dinner here. The bento box was a generous portion that I couldn’t finish and loved the quality of the shrimp and tempura. Good selection of sushi and also Thai dishes like curry. There was no wait and it was fairly quiet inside. It looked like they also offered hibachi grill tables for it to be cooked in front of you.

Edit: Well they updated their menu, jacked up Sushi prices and took 1/3 of the food out of the Sushi Sashimi combo. I thought I had found a new regular spot to get Sushi and Sashimi but never mind, at the new prices you may as well go somewhere fancier because it’s basically the same price.
Original Review: Ordered last minute take-out on new years eve around closing, they were super welcoming and kind despite the time. Food was good too. The sashimi combo is (WAS) a great value compared to other places.

Atmosphere- four stars- very clean and nicely decorated. There is a main dining area and a separate area for the hibachi experience.
Service- four stars- waiter was very friendly and attentive. Made sure our drinks were filled and checked on us periodically.
Food- four stars- I had the Spicy Mala Chicken- meals come with soup or salad. For an up charge I order the Tom Young Spicy Chicken soup which was really good except it had a little too much tofu in it. My main dish was excellent with lots of veggies and quality chicken. I ended up putting a lot of my veggies and white rice in my soup which made it even better. They have an extensive menu consisting of hibachi, Chinese, Thai, and a lot of sushi selections. Highly recommend.

Always enjoy the sushi, wife got the volcano, we love the shredded up crab on top, I got the Fairmont roll, both are delicious. Ordered the hibachi, salmon and shrimp. Very tasty, teriyaki glaze was perfect, our chef was funny and his tricks were on point, and as always very generous portions.

Went to pick up an order for the girlfriend that she did on door dash, not having someone deliver it. I stood there for over 45 minutes waiting for food. She ordered 3 things. They didn’t have it started when I arrived. There was someone in front of me who said they tried calling to place an order but they couldn’t get through, one of the workers said “ha yeah, we took it off the hook, we so busy”. Three wait staff. Nobody paying attention to anything. Surprising this place is still open.
Save your annoyance, go to El Ray and get quality food at a good price, and you won’t be waiting for 45+ minutes for food.

Use to go all the time but truly, owners please take this as constructive criticism. The place is extremely dirty anymore. Sounds like Velcro when you walk on the floor, just pick up a mop. The restrooms are the worst they are either so slick you can hardly stand or so sticky. There has been a horrible smell the last few months any time ive gone. Not sure if it’s coming from the restroom, ive given benefit of the doubt but its obvious this has become your new standard.

Got some Chicken & Fried Rice to go and thought it was very decent. The price seemed very reasonable for the amount of food they serve. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

The wait staff were very nice, a little disorganized as I had 2 people trying to help me, but they were both friendly and fast. I had the gyoza, the spicy crab meat roll, and the steak hibachi. The steak hibachi dinner came with my choice of soup and a salad. Everything was hot and fresh and tasted great. My steak was cooked perfectly and you could tell all the ingredients were fresh. The only thing is the steak itself and the lo mein were a little lacking in flavor. Overall a great experience and I would recommend this place to my friends.
