So we have drove past this restaurant multiple times and never wanted to stop. The Mexican/Japanese fusion was throwing us off. Fast forward to today and OMG, so glad we stopped! The food was so fresh and steaming hot. This was one of the best meals we have had lately. The service was quick, restaurant clean, and very inexpensive for the portion size we got! Will be making this spot a regular to stop at for sure!

It’s the combination of cuisines that everyone has been asking for. Wait…you didn’t ask for it? Well neither did I, but someone did, and here we are.

The name of the place makes you think Japanese, but the place itself with its decor, workers, and menu certainly makes you think Mexican.

Mexican food seems to be predominant here, but there are definitely the Asian staples available. They don’t seem to have sushi, and dishes like sesame chicken are probably considered Chinese, so I’d say this is more Asian than Japanese, but whose quibbling about such things deep in Kentucky?

I had the orange chicken, and it was good, and definitely better than I expected because I didn’t really know what to expect. They used white meat chicken and the sauce wasn’t overpowering which I appreciate. The zuchinni was good, and a nice touch. As for the portion sizes, they are more than ample. If you are on the larger side, or what Buffalo Bill would call “a great big fat person” then you will be pleased.

I love coming here. The smell of the food when I walk in makes me feel good inside. They have really good customer service and know how to cook very good. Will definitely be back.

Some co-workers and I came here to celebrate one of our owns birthday. I ordered beef enchiladas with beef nachos, it was alright, but the ground beef was off, it didn’t taste like ground beef; however, the service was impeccable, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks guys

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. It was cold inside and the service left a lot to be desired. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and it was actually very good. The portions are huge! Our server was obviously very busy and once she brought our food, she never returned until we were finished eating. No drink refills, nothing. She just dropped off the bill and away she went. Cost approximately $18 per person.

Weirdest restaurant ive ever been to.
Its a “mexican and Japanese restaurant” but 4/5 of their menu is mexican food.

When we first walked in the waitress didnt even look up at us til we got their attention and then she glared at us like we interrupted her. After we seated ourselves because she didn’t feel like it, we waited for our menu to be brought to us. The waiter was able to bring us drinks before anyone offered us a menu. Communication was a struggle to say the least.

My mother wasn’t really hungry so she ordered the street tacos with no onion. She got 2 tacos that had really salty meat on them with a mountain of cilantro on top. Wayyy to much. I got the chicken and vegetables with fried rice and they offered me a side of sweet carrots for some reason so I said yes? The carrots were way to sweet like it was worse thank drinking soda, sweet. The sauce on the meal was too salty and the vegetables were crunchy. Not even drowing it in yum yum sauce could fix the flavor of the meal. The rice was okay surprisingly despite the rest of the meal.

The decoration is even werider though as they had cinco de mayo decorations up with random traditional Japanese geisha drawings on the walls.

What a wild trip! Everything was really good! It’s not a fusion, two separate menus to hit both types of cravings!

Came here for the first time and had heard great things. Honestly wasnt worth the money. The only thing worth was crab ragoon. Dumplings were doughy and overcooked. Shrimp was overcooked. Chicken was dry for the plate and the rice was drowned in soy sauce (we never opened the packets we were given). Nachos tasted funky and was horribly wet. Im sad since this place was highly recommended. Sadly i wont be returning.

Zero stars. Idk what happened since my last 5 star review but it’s not good. #18 has no flavor, like they forgot to add at least salt. Frozen zucchini is wet and mushy. #18 ice cold. Egg rolls more than likely cooked this morning, ice cold. Miso soup ice cold. Steak Tacos were hot but had cheese and lettuce instead of cilantro and onion. No salsa or chips w Tacos, that’s fine but please ask if we would like to add that on. Would have returned the food for a refund but we are too far away. We picked up the cold food 5 minutes before it was supposed to be ready. If the guy in the window gave our order even half the attention he gave the female customer walking across the parking lot this review might be drastically different.

If you are going to call yourselves “wasabi”, then stop making the m majority of your food “Mexican! Its not even real Mexican food! I used to live 30 minutes from Tijuana and your food is NOTHING like Mexican food should be!!! Also, BRING BACK THE SUSHI OR JUST CHANGE YOUR NAME TO “FAKE MEXICAN FOOD”!!!!
