Sushi and chicken katsu is really good here! Came in for lunch bento and spicy roll and it was all good. The restaurant is super clean and has a retro theme which I really dig! Has style!

It’s nice that Shawano can have an Asian restaurant where the fish is imported from the sea, the place, food, and atmosphere is amazing.

Just ate at Wasabi! It was AMAZING!!! I HIGHLY recommend checking them out! The service was very fast & friendly! The sushi was high quality & very fresh! I am so impressed! The prices were also very reasonable (same as you would pay in Green Bay or Appleton). So happy to have a sushi restaurant in Shawano!!! We will definitely be regulars!

Probably the best sushi I have ever had. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. I highly recommend Wasabi and encourage everyone to come and try it. The staff was amazingly nice and the food came fast. I will definitely be coming back.

Wasabi if definitely a welcome addition to the local restaurant scene. The staff was very friendly. We ordered several rolls to go, a few appetizers and ramen. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. I will definitely return and would HIGHLY recommend them to others. Best wishes to the staff for a successful year! Welcome to Shawano!!! See you again very soon!

Seriously – excellent sushi! The rolls are the star (vs the sashimi). Hard to believe you can find quality sushi in rural WI, but Wasabi is doing it right! The sushi here is on-par with any sushi restaurant I’ve eaten in any city. The restaurant’s exterior is a little off-putting but, do yourself a favor, and get past that. They are spending their $$$ on quality fish!! The Spicy Tuna is the best we’ve ever had…yes, seriously! We’ll be back and I encourage everyone to give Wasabi a try.

Excellent sushi! Ate here two nights in a row while in town for work. Restaurant has a fun and unique atmosphere, very fair prices. Will definitely be eating here again when staying in town.

Maki rolls were just so-so due to the inclusion of crunch in the rolls. I’ve noticed this happening at places lately and don’t know why. I think it’s just to add filler so less fish can be used. It adds another flavor and texture that’s cheap and takes away from the fish or seafood, which to me is the important part and should be the focus of the roll. If you are going to put crunch in a simple salmon roll or tuna roll, then that should be listed on the menu or your customer should be able to simply request no crunch and simply get more rice. I asked if crunch could be withheld, and although the host’s response was hard to understand, I’m quite certain she said no.
