Delicious Indonesian food in South Philly. It was our first time going there and will definitely go back again. They specialize in East Java cuisine and will definitely be added to my rotation for Indonesian restaurants in Philly.
We had ayam penyet (spicy fried chicken), ribs, and beef meatball soup. All were really delicious and I’d recommend others to try. If you don’t like spicy food, I was told that the fried chicken can be made mild (served minus the chili sauce). The owner was really accommodating and made suggestions based on our taste preferences.

Delicious! Came on Christmas Day and super happy they were open. We had their batagor, sate ayam, nasi padang and nasi soto daging. It was all really good. The batagor was larger than what I was used to but still delicious. The sate atam is a must try – super generous with the peanut sauce! The space js small good for a few groups. We will def come back.

Had dinner with a friend, both of us being from Singapore. Food is amazing, fulfilling our Southeast Asian palettes (combination of spicy, sweet and sour). I had an ayam penyet (pictured) – fried chicken had the crispy skin and tender meat and coated with the chilli (you can request chilli to be separated). My friend had a bakso campur which was flavorful. A shared tahu telor was good too. Amazing and would recommend to any ASEAN folks, especially from Nusantara, but also anyone interested to try good Indonesian cuisine.

First time customer. I saw this place has good reviews so I wanted to give it a try.
Ordered 6 items to go. Most of them was good.
2 items from what I got I really didn’t like.
Batagor and the es campur (the taste was sort of sour I was hoping that’s not because got spoiled).
The Batagor was totally different compared to the place that I always got.
The dining is a bit small and the parking is not easy either. Had to park in the street.

We stumbled upon Warung Filadelphia while visiting from Canada, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip! As an Indonesian, I can say the food here is unbelievably authentic—rich flavors, fragrant spices, and that perfect balance you can only find in true Indonesian cooking. We’ve tried other Indonesian restaurants in town, but nothing compares—this is hands down the best. Every dish tasted homemade, like it came straight from a family kitchen.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff treat you like friends. If you’re looking for real Indonesian flavors, Warung Filadelphia is the place to go. We came back 3x during our 1 week visit here. We’re already dreaming of coming back on our next visit!

So many amazing dishes here! We ordered Iga Complete, Rawon, (Nasi Padang and Tahu Telor to go), and of course Peyek! Everything was absolutely delicious! We honestly could’ve stayed all night to try the whole menu, but we had to head back to CT.
If you’re craving authentic Indonesian cuisine, this place is a must-try. Plus, the owner and staff were super friendly!

The food and service was absolutely amazing! Small space to eat if you want to dine in, but it will fill quickly with a couple of groups.
The food was absolutely amazing. I hadn’t had Indonesian food before, and we had a lot of dishes with peanut sauce which was different from what I’ve experienced, but very flavorful.
We tasted our way through the menu and I don’t know the names, but we got the wonton style app; chicken and peanut sauce skewers with rice cake; a soup that was interestingly sweet and savory; beef spare ribs with the special sauce (definitely my favorite).
Give them a try! They were so lovely and patient while we navigated a new menu and new foods!

Quite a surprise finding this restaurant, just outside of Center City. This little neighborhood restaurant is smack dab in the middle of a residential block. Parking was very easy if I was free. I’ve never had Indonesian food before when we walked in we were greeted by a young lady named Rachel. She was very helpful explaining us a few vegan options that they had and with a few tweaks, many of their dishes can be made vegan you’ll see in the pictures and videos. I have some commentary about what each D dish is comprised of with the help of Rachel. This restaurant was born out of the love for her mom‘s cooking after years of feeding family and friends and running a small business out of their home they decided to take the chance of opening this cute little restaurant. All dishes were prepared fresh with layers of flavoring that I’ve never had before. He was so enjoyable. I’ll let the pictures and videos speak for themselves.
