Reviews
It was extremely filling, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly- not dry, not overly messy, just really well done. I also grabbed a bagel, which was toasted just right and complemented the meal nicely.
The cafe itself has a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere with a good amount of seating, making it a great option if you’re looking to work remotely, relax for a bit, or meet up with friends. It feels like a place where you could comfortably spend a few hours without feeling rushed.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and ordering was easy. They also have a wide variety of food options and coffee drinks, which honestly made it hard to decide what to order.
Even though I took my food to go, everything held up really well and came out quickly, which is always a plus when you’re on a tight schedule.
Overall, Warehouse Cafe Philly is a spot I’d definitely recommend to anyone in the area- whether you’re stopping in before work, grabbing something quick to go, or planning to sit and get some work done. I’ll absolutely be coming back.
Their menu is impressive, catering to just about every nutritional need. As you may or may not know, I only drink decaf, and I was pleased to find that they offer decaf options for most of their drinks. I decided to try their Maple Butterscotch Decaf Latte, while my friend opted for a Dirty Golden Turmeric Latte. They use La Colombe coffee, a staple in Philadelphia and an excellent brand. Both of our drinks were perfectly made.
For a treat, we shared a Vegetable Panini, which was filled with roasted peppers, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, portobello mushroom, and tahini sauce. It was served on either sourdough bread or focaccia (I can’t quite remember). The sandwich was good, albeit slightly underseasoned for our taste, and it was missing the tahini sauce which I ended up requesting on the side.
Overall, I would rate the sandwich about 3.5 to 4 stars. The flavors of the vegetables were not very distinct, and the cooking techniques used seemed decent although some vegetables were unevenly cooked resulting in a diluted flavor. However, this is better than being overseasoned in my opinion.
Their condiment bar was well-stocked with various milk options, sweeteners, and condiments including Sriracha sauce packets – a huge plus for Sriracha lovers like me. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, with a tastefully decorated tree, art, and great music playing in the background.
I look forward to returning to Warehouse Café to try more of their food offerings and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere where people were busy working or chatting away, clearly enjoying themselves.
Lattes are always awesome!
With that said, we ordered 2 lattes and 1 breakfast sandwich. Sandwich came out in 5 mins. We waited for our drinks for over 30 mins. When we asked about them, we were just told they were coming and the staff proceeded to avoid us as we continued to wait. After waiting for over 30 mins and already done our sandwich, we decided to respectfully ask for a refund. The manager was rude, acted like the 2 drinks on the counter were ours and just sitting there, even though it wasn’t even what we ordered and we already saw them on the counter with a different order number. She then proceeded to give us the one drink that was sitting there and then make us our other one. Never even tried to apologize to us or even look at us, honestly. They kept blaming it on how busy it was, which would be completely understandable if all the people who ordered after us hadn’t received their drinks long ago.
As people who live in the area, it would be very convenient for us to frequent here for coffee and a quick bite. However, we will not be back and would rather walk farther to support a small business that actually treats their customers with respect.
