Love the vibe of this classic fast food joint. Built about 3 years ago I hear… Yet it’s retro. The food was just as I remember from the late 80s in my hometown. They still have rootbeer floats, and they serve a country breakfast. Great place to eat!

It’s a shame that those two young women do not work at Wards anymore. They are the best thing wards has had since their decision to build one in vancleave. Both of them always smiled and were super sweet. I personally know ‘not to mention names’ the other staff that works there and that place has been black listed in my book. The level of service is poor, the food is cold or taste like it’s been open in a fridge all day that someone left dirty socks in. They lock the doors early at night not letting customers in and I found a what appeared to be a bag (maybe a corner of a bag it was odd looking)on the floor in the bathroom. My 3 year old daughter picked it up from under the sink when I was helping her with a paper towel. I’m not one to judge but by the look on the face of the employee I spoke with it clearly gave the impression that someone that works there was guilty. Either way some of the employees quit after they left or maybe it was because the older manager Mimi was spreading rumors about the girls saying that one of them stole money from the store. I don’t blame them. They didn’t want that to be said about them too. What really happened was the manager shorted the deposit the night before to see how it would be reported. The older girl ( the manager that they fired ) put $ in the safe to balance it back out and recount it at the end of the day to be sure that she was not counting wrong. She was fired for that reason.

I drive a good way out of my way for breakfast at the Vancleave location most days. I will continue to do so because the morning crew here are awesome! They are friendly, professional and have great customer service skills. This crew is always smiling and greeting customers as they come in. The restaurant is always clean or someone is doing tasks to make it that way. My food is always hot and delicious! Thank you, Gigi, Mary, Amanda, Shannon, Karen and Jessie! Great job!!

This was my first time at a Wards Restaurant. The staff were super friendly toward me. The food was super fast, like I walked into the restroom after ordering and came out and it was ready fast! I am sure it was under the heating lamps waiting on a customer, but it tasted pretty good overall. I paid almost 25 dollars (2 piece catfish dinner and a double burger meal) for all that in my photo, it was a little high for fast food but I totally understand that everything has went up under the idiot we have in office ..Biden-nomics. After driving all day to see friends, this food definitely hit the spot! I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area!
