Also for those not from the area – this place is inside the Broad Street Market. There is general seating in this food court area.
One before a few months ago, I go a taco salad type dish and just the other night got two tacos. I remember trying to remember what I didn’t like about it but once I had it again, I quickly remembered. SALT.
Man, it’s hard to cut it even with the guac or other sauce you may have at home. I’m not vegan but appreciate the style of food but the “meat” (besides salty) has a very distinct flavor during and after. A zing with a slight burnt flavor leasing into bitter aftertaste. Adding the mango into it that comes on top of most things doesn’t help. Two very polar opposite flavors is confusing but even everything on top gets lost by the overpowering “meat”.
It’s a good idea and all but just can’t go back again.
Also try pineapple juice with agave…
Had the crunch wrap with Grilled lions mane which was SO salty I couldn’t even eat more than 3 bites.
The mushroom walnut meat is good. My boyfriend had to share his with me since my meal was inedible he thought I was dramatic and tried and couldn’t even handle 1 bite.
We were traveling from out of town so couldn’t return for refund that was completely necessary… also do not recommend the Vegan gluten free Cookies.
Hate writing bad reviews but the salt level of the lions mane mushroom mix was criminal.
Firstly, the young lady at the register was one of the rudest clerks I have come across. I asked specifically if what I was ordering was gluten free and was assured it is. We ordered the street taco over nacho chips, and the mushroom chicken.
What we received was a tiny street taco on a flour tortilla-which was not only the wrong order but absolutely not gluten free.
When asked this clerk, she claims that we ordered a street taco and not the chips, (we did not) and then claimed that what we did get was gluten free.
Knowing very well that it wasn’t, we ate only the insides due to extreme hunger, and threw the rest out.
The mushroom “chicken” was full of grease at every bite, to the point it was dripping off of the pieces of “chicken”
0/10 experience.
Look at my reviews as I am never driven or disappointed by a place enough to make a review but this eatery takes the cake.
Absolutely awful and waste of money.
