Anybody got a favorite spot for AYCE Korean bbq they wanna share?
Reviews
They have a nice open bar with a great selection of drinks, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and outdoor heaters for when it gets chilly. Whether you’re coming for dinner, drinks, or just a good time with friends, this is definitely a go-to spot for Korean BBQ in Riverside!
It was my son’s last night in town, so we went all out: all-you-can-eat, every side, extra beef, pork belly, the works. And every time we added something he’d sigh, “Is that all?”—like we were wasting his time. We dropped about twenty-five, thirty bucks each, and yeah, it’s pricey for Korean BBQ, but the attitude? That’s what stung.
If you want good grill and don’t mind a side of snark, maybe it’s worth it. But if you’d rather not feel judged for your pants—or your appetite—skip this place. Plenty of other spots where the food comes with warmth, not eye-rolls.
Great service, from top to bottom.
Introduction-
This is an AYCE (all you can eat) Korean BBQ restaurant. Beside regular BBQ items they serve some delicious side dishes also. One of the top Korean AYCE BBQ restaurants in the Riverside area.
Quality & experience-
The food quality is of course good. The servers are awesome! I mean, this is the number 1. The best service that I got so far in years from any restaurant server. Our server was Fernando. Beside him the people who came to change our grill were also very very professional & well mannered. They constantly kept our table up-to-date. The employees/ servers are very attentive & are polite & professional. They help out customers with zero or minimum experience about the flavors & help them to understand the menus. Also, their service to bring orders is faster.
Kudos to the team. If you don’t know about the BBQ flavor, cut, taste & spice level of the dishes on the menu or have a specific desire for a meat or taste, take their help. They will guide you to enjoy your meal. I look & search for authentic taste and this place offers closest taste to real Korean flavorful of both regular & spicy Bulgogi & BBQ meat items. They do provide a variety of meat cuts of Chicken, pork & beef and few sea-foods, but their Fire Cheese Chicken is an exceptional item & awesome in flavor & is a must try.
Cleanliness
The place is clean & tidy. Have separate restrooms for men & ladies and they are clean. Have plenty of sittings both inside and surprisingly outdoor. Nice smoke suction keeps the area nice & smoke free.
Menu & price-
They have 3 separate groups of BBQ Menus depending on the variety of meat & seafood items.
Prince – $28.99 with 32 choices.
King – $34.99 with 39 choices.
Emperor – $41.99 with 41 choices.
(Check my pic for detail)
Business hours-
Their regular business hours are from
Sunday – Thursday : 12pm to 10pm.
Friday – Saturday : 12pm to 11pm.
But I suggest going earlier as you Might need to wait for a while to be seated as most of the time they are packed by the Dinner times.
Location-
Located in a nice and quiet part of Riverside Plaza & close to the freeway. It has a nice vibe. Also got a good outside view if you sit outdoors. Has a lot of free parking & is wheelchair accessible.
Plenty of free parking.
It’s mainly an all you can eat restaurant where you get served at the table and you get to cook the meat ( and some fish and vegetables too).
You can choose the prince , the king or the emperor menu. I wasn’t sure if doing the king instead of the prince just because I liked the idea to try the shrimp but the cool thing is that they told me I could start with the prince and upgrade if I change my mind.
Everybody at the table needs to agree on the same menu so we chose the prince and there were plenty of options to choose from. We liked a lot the sausage and the ribs, meat in general could use some more flavor.
I like that many things are previously marinated so you don’t need to add anything but they do provide also some oils and salt to add. They also provide the sides already cooked like mac and cheese , rice and salad and soup. Even if the price is a bit high obviously meat is expensive so it makes sense.
Service was quick, I liked that they often change the top of the grill when it gets dirty and can get smokey.
We loved the overall atmosphere.
The place looks really nice and modern ( bathrooms could use a renovation)
I read that they accept bookings only for groups of at least 8 people so I recommend to really go Monday to Thursday unless you don’t mind waiting in line for a long time. Drinks and dessert are not included in the all you can eat price.
Why not 5 stars ?
The margarita was ok, I liked that was strong but it kinda tasted soapy, the dirty cherry smash was really good but not as alcoholic as the margarita .
They don’t have Coca-Cola, only Pepsi. Who likes Pepsi?
They also don’t provide knifes so you need to use a big scissor instead ( we had one scissor for 4 people). They don’t have the piece of plastic for little kids (or people who are not familiar with using chopsticks) to put at the top of the chopstick to help them use them and the forks are made of …..plastic….which was odd for such a cool place.
