Tried this place out for dinner last night! It’s a beautiful place! Right on the water! Great views, and food was good! Service was okay! Our waitress was a mess! Added chicken onto our salad, said it would take forever to get it off! She did not handle it well. Overall we will be back! They are trying their best for it being a new restaurant! Felt bad over the bill! Give this place a chance!

Food portions are small. Quick to get food to our table since there were only 5 groups when we arrived on a Thursday for dinner. It was very loud when we left when the place was full. Unfortunately, there is no changing table, so if you have kids in diapers just be aware. Great location by the water. My friend got a salad and the chicken was not sliced which was inconvenient for her. We got the cheese curds as an appetizer and were dissatisfied. They say they have a funnel cake batter, but it was very thin and you could not taste the difference from a regular batter.

We stopped in on a quiet Thursday during shoulder season and were pleasantly surprised. Even though the place wasn’t busy, the staff didn’t act bored or bothered to be there — which can definitely happen at some restaurants this time of year. Instead, everyone was welcoming, attentive, and upbeat.

The food was excellent, the service was spot-on, and Logan behind the bar deserves a shout-out for being both friendly and knowledgeable. Great drinks, great vibes — absolutely worth the visit. We’ll be back!

PS. We had Chicken Alfredo & Chicken Cesar Salad. Both lovely just forgot to take pictures!

We have been in for dinner several times, which is always fabulous. Today we had breakfast which was amazing. I had the Sunrise Scramble with a biscuit and my husband and son had biscuits and gravy. We all loved our meal!

This restaurant is in a great location. They use large windows to take advantage of the views. We got in right away and sat outside. They have a huge and nice bar. There is a TV at the bar. We ordered the popcorn perch appitizer, very good. We got for our entrees potato crusted whitefish, peach Moscato chicken, yakisoba bowl and pisolero pasta. No complaints about any of the dishes. The side of veggies are chest choice, they were good. The protein meals were smaller portions but still filling. We also got dessert. We chose old fashion zucchini bread and peanut butter pumpkin mousse. They were both tasty, enough to share. If you sit on the patio the umbrella have their own lights. It is all one level and easy for handicapped access. The parking is still gravel and unmarked.

Maybe the I missed the timing announcements. The Grand Opening was just a few days ago but I expected the full menu that is posted on the web site. Instead there is a limited menu with three starters, three entrees, two desserts and no alcohol yet.

So I would say this is a “soft opening” and was surprised no other reviewer mentioned the limited menu (photo attached).

I had steak salad and it was excellent as were the warm house baked rolls. The views are fabulous. There are large roll up
doors so when seated inside you get good views of Manistee lake an the stern of the City of Milwaukee steamship and
some pesky insects.

Outside seating and seating on some small pontoon/donut type boats would be a unique experience to dine out on Manistee Lake and allow even better views. I hope to return when the full menu is available.

Fantastic menu! The staff is super caring and friendly. The restaurant is beautiful, clean and brand new. The chef is well known and highly recommended. The food is incredible! Outdoor lakeside seating, donut boat rentals, pontoon rentals, available docks to come by boat, lakeside firepits, cornhole games, live music and so much more! Definitely a place you want to go to! I will recommend the Wander In to all of my friends and family.

My husband and I had a delightful experience at Wander In. We stopped by on our way up to Frankfort. The olive burger, pear beet salad, and zucchini cake were delish!! It was such a beautiful day on the deck watching the salmon jumping in the bay. Friendly staff!
Looks like a great venue for a summer concert party.
We’ll be back!!

So the food was great. Love love the Portabella burger. It was great. The service was great. The atmosphere was nice, but extremely noisy wheen there is a lot of people eating dinner. We had the carrot cake for dinner. I honestly thought it tasted like a spice cake, I am a traditionalist when it comes to carrot cake. I want to see and taste pineapple, raisons, and carrots, and I really missed the cream cheese frosting. Would definitely go back, but the carrot cake was a bit of a disappointment.

Beautiful dining spot! The lake outside the windows, the view of the boats, both large and small. The wine is excellent. The bread is perfect. Waitstaff was checking in often, water was always refilled. Must try the Fettuccine with chicken!
