Decided to stop here to get burgers to-go based on good reviews. So glad we did! Hamburgers were fresh and tasty and looked just like a hamburger ad! No squished buns here! French fries seemed homemade and were very good. Onion rings seemed frozen fare and not really good. The surprising best food was the chicken – the chicken tenders were amazing! I would swear they had just been dipped and cooked! So good! we also had shakes – one chocolate and one vanilla – and both were very good. Menu also offered pork options and some mexican food. Prices were reasonable – meal deals for $6 or $7. The drive in was quirky – like being back in the 50s. We loved it! Staff was nice and while it took about 10 minutes to get our food it was worth it. It also looks they have some in store seating, although we only do drive through given the pandemic. We will definitely visit again!

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Hot and ready to eat, whether I use the drive through or sit down. Sometimes it takes a minute to get a shake here… but I’m never disappointed… it’s always good! Easy access, parking is plentiful and the food is very affordable. My only concern is that they could clean the tables a bit more often. Overall, a good lunchtime spot.

We saw Walt’s while we were driving by. We had never eaten there. They are a smaller operation but very nice and the food was decent. We are hamburger joint people. They served us fast and the food was tasty. The kitchen was super clean from what I could see and that rates high with me. We will be returning again and again. We would suggest the chicken fried steak. It comes w/salad, a big serving of mashed potatoes, garlic texas toast. If burgers are your thing we suggest getting the triple with chili, cheese tots.

Incredible hole in the wall burger joint. Definitely one of the best burgers in Wichita, bar none. Thin, smashed and seared patties perfectly cooked with the traditional choice of mustard, onion, and pickles included (lettuce and tomato will run you 50 cents more). Fries are similar to ones you would get from 5 guys, just less expensive. My only trouble was figuring out the parking situation behind the small building. They also have Mexican foods on the menu, but I will be hard pressed to get anything other than a cheeseburger and fries!

I had a problem here a week ago Friday (April 27th 2018) and I called the owner today. He was very nice and immediately fixed the issue. Grandma and I have eaten here for years and we LOVE their burgers and fries. I want to commend the owner for his customer-oriented care and immediacy of response. It doesn’t get any better than this.

The burgers are absolutely divine! It’s a 50 50 on when the fries are nice and churchy though. Other than that all the workers are kind, very sweet and helpful! Wonderful and cozy place to go.

My husband told me about this place the day before I visited. I went and the food was great. I took my order to go and didn’t wait long for it at all. Everything was hot and fresh tasting. I ordered the double bacon mushroom swiss burger meal and it was excellent. I would definitely go back again. 🙂

Patty’s are a little smaller then your probably used to at other places but a triple burger there is about the same as a double whopper and its fresh I always get the tater tots or fries and they are always made to order

I decided to get a burger for lunch so I decided to try Walt’s. The cheeseburger and Fry combo was good and a decent portion. The best part of Walt’s was the staff. They were extremely helpful and friendly.
