We are a quiet little hideaway tucked into business and manufacturing area on the South Side of Mason City. We feature a seasonal menu of craft cocktails. We also have over 90 bottles of whiskey on our wall to choose from. All of our ingredients are carefully crafted in house with the finest ingredients. Our syrups & bitters are hand-made and all of our citrus is juiced fresh to each drink.

I absolutely love this gem, hunkered down in small-town Iowa! The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, and the drinks have no equal. It has a seasonal menu that changes every 3 months, as well as a menu that is constant. It has, by far, the best Sazerac I’ve ever had. The Irish Maid is my favorite drink on the constant menu. The atmosphere is sophisticated and almost always quiet. Perfect for a date or meeting of a small group of friends. One of the best speakeasies I’ve been to and I frequent them in most of the cities I visit.

I love the atmosphere at this small speakeasy. They have a great menu of classic and unique cocktails and a full bar. They have a new password every day, but you can easily find it on their socials when they “post”. Drinks are more expensive but worth what you get! Fun little place to grab a drink with friends!

The moment you step through the door, you’re greeted by a dimly lit room and a massive bar boasting an impressive variety of whiskey, including an outstanding selection of Japanese whiskey. The whole place exudes a classy, vintage vibe that takes you back to a golden era, where you can order drinks from a bygone time.
What’s more, the bartenders here are a league of their own, incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to help. And get this: they offer memberships! If I lived closer, I’d sign up in a heartbeat. Members get a load of perks, including access to a special menu of top-shelf whiskey. I can hardly wait to come back for another round at this fantastic place!

To say the Shebeen is the hidden gem of Mason City is a dramatic understatement. Hands down, the best cocktail, and overall most chill spot in north Iowa. The vibe is classic speakeasy. The cocktails and bartenders are world class.

Pretty cool bar (speakeasy-ish). Password on their Instagram to get in. But also not too hidden as there are windows that look in from outside.
Drinks and service was pretty good. They do need to find a way to deaden some of the noise as it was hard to hold a conversation with our group.
