Has been a minute since we’ve last visited Walnut Grill. Wife had the strip steak, I had the ribeye sandwich. We were both pleasantly surprised at the food quality and portion sizes. Prices are fair, I thought. AND, our server, Kenzie, was both friendly and attentive.

We’ll be back!

I went here for lunch, got a wedge salad the cauliflower appetizer and a pick 2 side salad and sandwich. Assuming it would take no longer than an hour, it took an hour and a 20 minutes and I had to just ask them to pack the entrees because it took so long. Considering they were not very busy, I’m not sure what happened and it was not explained. Additionally, I ordered a Wedge salad that was $16 and I got a yellowed bed of lettuce instead. The waitress was nice but didn’t communicate and the ranch was good.

Our extended family gathered for a birthday dinner here due to the expected high quality food and dining experience. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! I am not one to write strong reviews on the negative but will be today. Not only was the service lacking (our used appetizer plates and beverage glasses were never cleared), but not one person out of the 13 in our group had anything good to say about their meal. Those who had steak….cooked less than raw, chewy and fatty, no flavor! Those who had chicken….way overcooked dry and burnt on edges. My gnocci was probably a week old from the fridge and reheated – chewy pasta instead of tender. THEN get this…we only returned the birthday girl’s dinner and they offered something else to take home. Later that evening she ate the smashburger they offered and got violently ill and this lasted for hours causing her not to be able to breastfeed her new baby. My teenage son couldn’t even take a 2nd bite of his steak and he typically won’t turn down red meat unless it is still hanging in the butcher’s cooler! We will never go here again and do not recommend. On another note: We have been to the Walnut Grille in Robinson a few times recently and had no issues with food or service. It was this location specifically that we are calling out the horrible experience.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has severely gone downhill with their quality of food. Something as simple as French onion soup should not be sweet. The food was cold and not appetizing honestly as it has been in the past. We have not lived in the area in quite some time and we revisited this spot because we had had so many good experiences here in the past. The bartender was amazing and very, very sweet and attentive.

We had 8:00 reservations for dinner. We showed up and waited a few minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, it took quite some time for a waitress to come to us. She took our drink order and came back with one of the drinks. We waited about another 10 minutes for the second drink. At that time she asked about an appetizer. We ordered pretzels. 45 minutes later, the pretzels came out. At that point, we had no silverware, no plates and no napkins. We flagged down the server and asked for some and she said she would bring us bread. After an hour and a half , we still didn’t have a meal. My husband’s glass was taken in the meantime. We asked about the food and it came out finally, almost 2 hours later. Still no drinks. We ordered medium steaks, they came out rare. Mashed potatoes soaking in blood. Did I mention, we had no drinks?? We flagged down the waitress again and said we want the bill and a manager. She miraculously came back and said “your bread is done” after almost 2 hours and knowing we wanted to leave. Still no drinks. The manager offered 50% off for a meal that was barely edible, and the worst service we have ever received anywhere! I would not recommend!

There was a family of an employee seated directly behind us. They got there after us, had more people than us, and their food came out promptly, but we were told the kitchen was behind??

Had good fortune to go to Walnut Grill in Cranberry for Thanksgiving buffet today. Second year in a row. Had Teariney as server. Great experience! Attention to us was great constant how busy she was…
She said she was a Vet , working Mom and happy in her work despite struggling. I appreciated her effort and pleasant demeanor . Good luck to you Teariney!

Where do I begin? The waitress put us directly next to a 15-person adult bday party (everyone was drunk). Other than us there were 4 occupied tables…
Next the drinks were super watered down and my wife’s marg had old limes which made the entire thing more bitter than a nippy winter.

Garden salad: 2 small wedges of tomato, 2 small slices of cucumbers, and basic greens with cheddar sprinkled on top
Caesar salad; dressing made with real anchovies so it was basically inedible (ofc if you like that fishy taste that’s ok, we do not)
Entrees: balsamic chicken and parm chicken. These were fine. Super basic for the price they have… literally Chili’s quality…

Did I mention the drunks were blocking waitresses and whacking into our table? All were yelling and screech-laughing most of the time.
Our server was great, she made sure we had everything we needed and apologized for the group, however we were still seated next to them and they showed no signs of leaving anytime soon.

To sum it up, it is a mediocre joint posing as mid to upper level dining with limited menu options. At least with places like Chili’s they give you what you expect. What a terrible experience, I doubt we will be back

The pita bread app with the figs and hummus was good though

Ryleigh and Kenze were amazing bartenders. Food and drinks were served with any smiles. Very knowledgeable about their jobs. Cannot wait to go back. My wife and I had a lot of fun. Food excellent.

Fantastic meal for a fantastic price! We stopped in during a road trip, and the food hit the spot perfectly after a long drive. I had the Crispy Chicken BLT wrap. It was fresh and delicious! Our server, Autumn was exceptional. Amazing service! We’ll definitely be coming again whenever we take another trip this way!
