Outdoor covered fresh air patios at all locations. Our TEN locations are Bethel Park PA, Bridgeville PA, Fox Chapel PA, Robinson PA, Washington PA, Wexford PA, Chesterfield MO, Ellisville MO, O’Fallon MO and Sunset Hills MO. Unique dining rooms, large comfortable bars, and private dining facilities available. Breakfast & Lunch everyday until 3pm. Dinner menu served until close. The family wanted to find a family restaurant close to home to visit on Sundays for Sunday brunch. We have been to the Walnut grill several times during the week but never for brunch. We invited the family to Sunday Brunch one month ago. We were so disappointed. Eggs were cold sausage underdone and food selection minimal. Dead roaches on the floor under the table. The prime rib was discolored and although I have never left prime rib on my plate before I certainly did this time. I was embarrassed I had asked our family to join us there. If the food is not done don’t put it out. If cooked ahead of time learn how to keep your food up to temp on the buffet tables. If it’s a matter of cost, charge a little more. Certainly that is better than loosing customers. We were at the Walnut Grill June 25th at 10:00 AM. Food was out but cold. The man at the prime rib station was not ready to serve. Once the regular carving staff arrived the service was better but the food quality was not good. I’m not saying the quality of the meat was poor just that it was not prepared well and stored adequately for serving. Unfortunately we will not be back for brunch. However weekly meals and service is adequate.

This was my third time eating here and second year at the Mother’s Day brunch. The food was pretty good in the brunch and I felt like there was a good balance of breakfast and lunch food. The one thing that was disappointing was the lobster bisque. They should just not even offer it. We had two reservations and needed to add to our party. The young ladies at the host booth told us they weren’t doing walk ins, only reservations that day. Meanwhile the restaurant was half empty and stayed that way the entire time, and this was the case last year. This Walnut Grill is aesthetically awesome. The inside looks updated with a nice bar and private room for small events. The patio is great as well. There is a ton of space and an outdoor bar. They are definitely making the most of their space. The prices are a bit more expensive than similar bars/restaurants. The happy hour is from 3-7 every day, but they didn’t have the taps working while we were there. We decided to order the loaded tater tots and were pleasantly surprised. They might have the best tater tots that I’ve ever had.

Tons of options to choose from but a bit on the pricy side. We went for brunch and liked the bowls the most but they were priced at $20. Even plain black coffee was over $3. I would understand if this was located in central west end to act all expensive but not for where it’s located. Our server was good but service was super slow. Actual rating is 3.5 not 4.
