We were traveling from Baltimore to Wisconsin and stayed the night at Garland Hotel in New Concord. While there we decided to get supper in New Concord. We decided on Wally’s Pizza. It had a cute outdoor seating area. I got the Italian Sub and she got a slice of pizza. Both were very good! The food and outdoor dining were a perfect combination!

I purchased 6 pieces of pizza with extra cheese last night in New Concord. It was absolutely terrible. The crust was burnt and it did not have extra cheese. It tasted like it was old and they reheated the pieces I purchased. I have been buying Wally’s pizza for over 30 years. Most of the time I buy pizza in Cambridge. We go to New Concord to watch my grandkids participate in sporting events. We try to buy Wally’s pizza after the games. Not anymore….worse pizza I have ever eaten. We threw 4 pieces in the trash.

My last two orders for their special were incorrect. I asked and paid and an extra $2 for extra cheese on my pizza. The second time it happened I called and expressed my disappointment. They said next time the special would be “on them” and apologized. So I called to get my free special and the gal said, whomever…did not put it down next to my number. So she could not give me my “freebie”. I explained to her again what happened as I felt she thought I was lying to her. I should not have had to explain again. She should have said…sure thing what would you like. They could clearly see from all my orders that I am a regular customer. I said never mind. I will order from somewhere else. Unfortunate, but what ever happened to good customer service.

The best pizza in Ohio! Perfectly crispy crust, freshly grated cheese, and fresh homemade tomato sauce. And the best part, it’s square cut!! There is no pizza like Wally’s pizza! It’s so good my mom shipped it to my sister when her husband was stationed out of state! The subs and cheesy bread are great too!

Okay, on a beautiful day the patio addition on the side of the building is so romantic. The inside has a long bench and tv (except the TV was off while I was waiting). The location right upon the university staffs likely students, friendly enough, helpful and sounds honest about their recommendations. With that, the daily special is cool, right inline with student budget; ratio to price, totally fair. Since I tried the pizza, I also felt like this experience gave me student vibes! Crispy crust, not entirely hot with melted cheese yet surprisingly tasty that way all the same. Salty enough and feels like something I’d be sharing with friends, buzzing or off the highway, I would love this pizza even more!! It’s a cravings kind of pizza, cheers!

I’m a student at MU, so it’s really nice to have a local restaurant right next to campus. There isn’t much in New Concord, but Wally’s is a solid place to go for lunch. The fact that it’s local and online ordering is a big part of why I prefer getting food from here compared to other places in town. They have a sub meal deal that’s not a bad price, so I get it often.
It’s nice to be able to submit an order in class and have it ready for pickup as soon as I’m done. The employees are friendly and my orders are always right. My only words for improvement would be to maybe market more towards the younger generation since so many college kids are in town, and offer more lunch deals at fair prices. I recommend coming here if you’re visiting NC 🙂

One of the best Pizza I have ever had. Perfect crust, seriously the best crust in Ohio! The sauce was so fresh tasting slightly sweet with a touch of tang. Top notch veggies in perfect balance so that every bite you are getting a symphony of flavor variety. I will drive one and a half hours to have this Pizza again!

Wally’s overall is great. Love the square and round pizzas. However, I tried their boneless wings in Buffalo sauce today and was not impressed, unfortunately.
