Wally’s Deli is a hoagie shop located at the corner of Tilghman and N 17th St. in Allentown. This is the only place in town to get a Hog Sandwich.
Make sure to bring your appetite because these sandwiches are huge! All sandwiches are available in small, medium, large, and supersized. You also have the option to “unhog” your sandwich which is all the ingredients without the bread.
I ordered one of their specialty hogs; Wally’s decker. It’s made with American cheese, baked ham, turkey, bacon, and mayonnaise. Phenomenal! One of the best, if not the best, sandwiches I’ve ever had.

Not a place I frequent often, and my last two times remind me why. Both times they have gotten my orders wrong. The first time I was able to catch it because I saw my sandwich being made, but the second time, a friend ordered for me. It was a turkey sandwich, how in the world did I end up with tuna?

Hole in the wall dive deli. Excellent unique sandwiches, had the squealer. Huge fresh portions. Price is higher but in line with what they are serving. Clean and friendly. Lock your car doors and enjoy. Excellent Find in an area littered with sub par franchises.

First time coming here all the way from the food to the excellent service from all of the wonderful ladies working there was the best! I ordered the wild boar and old bay fries and the flavor and meat was all there and let me not forget the peanut butter brownie is to die for. You definitely gained a new regular customer. I was driving from NYC to DC and was craving a sub. Wally’s Deli popped up in between the cities so my husband and I decided to give it a try.
My husband got the beast sub and I got the smokey sub. Both of us were very impressed. The bread was soft, the meats were fresh and flavorful, and the veggies that came with it were delicious. We would go back for the subs alone.
However, we looked at their brownies. Before leaving, we ended up getting the peanut butter and chocolate brownie. My husband and I have had plenty of brownies, but my gosh, these were the best ever! Despite the brownies being thick, they are not dense. These brownies literally melt in your mouth. They have a light and soft consistency and pack a lot of delicious flavoring without being overwhelmingly sweet. If I am going to be honest, I will say this place made the bar high for any brownie I get elsewhere, and I doubt other places will compare.
I will definitely come back here when I do another road trip. The staff is very sweet and friendly.

Trash Hogie. I honestly wanted to love this Hogie. Its right by my house and it was supposed to be good. The bread was barley cooked. I asked for it toast it wasn’t. They cut the Hogie roll all the way through like a sandwich . The bread was soggy the meat was low quality definitely not D.W or Boar’s Head. Im surprised people actually like this spot. it was 18 dollars for a 12 inch Turkey hogie “18 dollars”. 18 dollars is the most iv ever spent on a hogie and im astonished people continue to pay for that junk. It the Worst Hogie I’ve ever had, yall should be ashamed of yourself for serving that crap .

They make a solid italian sub/hoagie. I can’t speak for service or atmosphere since this order was picked up for me, but that sub had some weight to it and the roll was real nice.

I wish that I could say great things about this place I really do. Every once and awhile I get hungry for the Wally fish sandwich so I stop in and grab food and each time I remember exactly why I don’t frequent. Today is the first time I got kids meals with tax they’re about $6 and this is exactly how each one looks. The fish sandwich is great but over all I believe it to be overpriced and not worth it unless your going for one of their specialty sandwiches alone!

Something light, BLT. IT WAS GOOD! Bacon wasn’t burnt , lettuce shredded, fresh tomatoes and not a lot if mayo. Mmmm.
