Went to see the in laws in Atlantic Beach. On the way is Wall’s. It’s a Jewish bakery that has been a pillar of the community for years. They have been coming here for 40 years and my fiancé thought it would be great to bring to their new house. It reminded me of an old school bakery. Lots of charm and nostalgia so I was a fan.

SIMPLY THE BEST! It’s an hour each way for me to get to Wall’s, so I stock up. And I mean REALLY stock up. Most recent trip: 5 Philly Fluffs, 3 lbs of cigar cookies, 1.5 lbs rugelach, a seeded rye, chocolate drop cookies, and two chocolate covered Mandel breads. Only disappointment: bon bons were sold out. I have never been disappointed with anything here. Can’t say that about other bakery/pastry shops I’ve tried.

A bit of trip from where I live but definitely worth it. Their chocolate chip loaf is absolutely my favorite. Delicious cookies as well. I’m not in the area a lot bc it’s far from me but whenever I am I will usually stop by. Wonderful place!

We have received cherry pie for thanksgiving from a friend. It was nicely baked – crust was not soggy but nicely crispy. Tasted good.

Best bakery and cookies in New York! Coming from Arizona I would have these cookies shipped to me and I finally had the opportunity to go in person. Delicious and made with great ingredients! Friendly staff and well worth the visit.

Me and my girlfriend go here for bread all the time! Specifically the pumpernickel and rye. It’s incredible. People are always blown away when we serve them anything with that bread. They use the old school slicing machine and machine to tie the twine around the boxes.

My family has been shopping here for over 30 years. We loved the place. Last week my wife bought 3/4 lb. of rugelach for company plus a separate 1/2 lb box for just me. Thy were flat and completely without the great stuff like raisins and nuts, that they usually have. Their rugelach is $25 lb so I asked my wife to please bring them back and find out what happened. She was met by the owner who was dismissive and annoyed. He claimed they were made by the same person as always and refused to acknowledge that they were not baked right at all. I know the adage the customer is always right is an unrealistic and sweeping statement but his attitude was not acceptable. So much for tradition.

I have been going to Wall’s since I was a little kid, with my grandma who lived nearby. Whenever I would visit, I would get some treats: rainbow cookies, meringues, sprinkle cookies, black and white cookies, and more goodies. She past a few years ago, but whenever I go to the NYC/Long Island area, I always stop at Wall’s for some of the best baked goods I may have ever had. Keep up the good work Mark, your stuff never disappoints.
