I stayed at the hotel connected to Wallace’s and ended up eating here several nights during my stay.

Overall, the food was pretty good—the wings were probably the highlight. Breakfast service was consistently pleasant, and the baristas and morning servers were extremely friendly and welcoming. The server who waited on me the first couple of evenings was also very very kind, though dinner service was noticeably slower. This was not the server but the kitchen.

Unfortunately, my experience on the fourth night was very different. I walked into the restaurant area and there were no tables occupied and only three people at the bar. I grabbed my laptop, sat at a table, and then went back to the bar to ask Michelle (the bartender) for a menu. Her demeanor was cold and abrupt. When I placed my order, she snapped, “Well, where are you sitting?” I pointed to the table where my things were. She rolled her eyes, and when I asked if there was a problem, she pointed at the “please wait to be seated” sign and walked away.

At that point, I canceled my order and left. I ended up eating nearby instead, which worked out fine; the customer service in that moment was disappointing and unnecessary, especially given how empty the restaurant was. I ended up eating out the rest of my stay because of that specific interaction

Wallace’s has good food and some genuinely friendly staff, but that interaction overshadowed what had otherwise been a solid experience. With more consistent service, this place could easily be much better.

It’s usually pretty empty, so I like hanging out and chatting with staff. The booze selection is limited, and they don’t really know how to mix drinks. I haven’t tried the food, but it looks like heavy pub fare. They give me my seltzer and lime, I appreciate it!

Ate breakfast here. Great food, great staff. The space is a bit barren (like the hotel). But, didn’t go there for the decor. Would definitely eat there again.

Food is fantastic here. Was very impressed with the Mac and cheese, the Reuben, and the appetizers.
Food price is a good value for what you get.

Went on Saturday and had a great time. They regularly have really good live music, and I really appreciate that.
We ordered fries, shrimp tacos, spinach, a Caesar salad, charcuterie board and old fashioneds.

– The shrimp tacos were delicious. Would definitely order again.
– The spinach was really good, garlicky, buttery, yummy.
– The Old Fashioned was good, much better when we ordered without soda. A downside is that the bar ran out of glassware, so subsequent rounds came out in plastic cups.
– The Caesar salad was ok, a bit heavy on the dressing, and really heavy on the plain croutons.
– The fries were over cooked and not good.
– The charcuterie board was a huge disappointment, dropping the review an entire star… there were 2 meats, one of which was delicious (maybe a chorizo or pepperoni variant), the other was acceptable (like a salami)… the chorizo looked like it had been sliced with a butter knife. There was a pile of sweet cranberries, a pile of old blueberries, and a pretty good strawberry. Finally, the cheese. There was a pile of yellow and a pile of pepper jack cubes. Straight from a bag. At $18 I expect something that is delicious and well curated, rather than (what looked like) leftovers from the hotel’s free continental breakfast.

We thought it was closed… the bartender was waiting tables too but the tables are very private and you cant see them from out in the hallway of the hotel. Fries were good, they were out of cod.

Not much of a bar. Food was slow even with the entire place empty.
