Last Sunday I went on an EARLY morning adventure! (See other post for details) After almost striking out on said adventure I was HANGRY! After hmmm and hawing where to go. I decided to stop for breakfast! I’ve been wanting to stop here to eat for weeks….. actually months for Breakfast, lunch or dinner! Just never made it in that direction! Breakfast it was! I love me a Country Fried or Chicken Fried Steak or whatever you call it! Any who! It was on special SO it was a no brainer for me! It was GREAT! Also the hash browns were CRISPY! That ALWAYS scores extra points for me! Additionally it felt like a small town dinner/cafe. Not what I was expecting! Also they have a GREAT social media presence which I think is key in this day and age. That was a huge factor drawing me there. How else do you know what a place has to offer? I WILL definitely be going back!

I ordered the incredible Hwy. 35 burger and made it a double with jalapenos. Plus the delicious smoky baked beans with pork made this a lunch fit for a king! You won’t leave hungry… Definitely the best food in Alma. Thank you Steph for cooking up this masterpiece and Nikki for the friendly bartending! Five star experience

Had the rib special with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The ribs were a little dry but still tender and I thought they could use a little sauce to compliment the flavors but that’s my opinion. Overall it was good

Great breakfast for great value! Omelettes are massive, pancakes are delicious, cinnamon rolls are also quite big. Servers are friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Great place to stop or stay. Food is amazing. Get breakfast is you are here for the weekend. If you have a camper they have full power and water!! Harvest host power host and there is a dump station for the RV too. Staff is great and there is a reception hall available for weddings and events. Can’t wait to come back.

After many years of driving by we decided to stop for lunch. So glad that we did. The owner and the bartender were great to chat with. The cod fillet was the real thing. As we ate our meal I saw several other orders coming from the kitchen and wanted to try all of them. This place is now on our ‘must stop’ list when driving the river road.

Serving sizes were plentiful and prices reasonable. The young lady who served us also was tending bar on a busy Monday evening, she provided excellent service considering the scenario.
